Now as far as being likeable.
Universally.
Over all the races.
It is magic and cheryl.

Now who is rhe model of success for being black and having soul.
as far as likeability
The beginning model of success is :

DR J

emphasis on being spelled in all caps.

As far as being stoic and a freedom fighter and being black.

That is:

Bill russell

If you black and dr j and russell are not the beginning archetypes to your success. That is why you fail.

Steph Curry is near the top of that list. Then it’s probably people like Payton Manning. It’s gotta be players who were great, but not GOAT great, and not for a powerhouse that people hate.

If you are in GOAT tier then people will dislike you simply because your name is being compared to who they consider the GOAT.

Like Derek Jeter wouldn’t count because while nobody has anything against him, and he was solid, he played for the Yankees so he can still kick rocks.

Barry Sanders seems to have no haters

He’s a good kid but comes off real goofy like someone earlier said.

I think Ant Man is getting up there

Someone already made this point but it’s rare someone who’s in the goat conversation, that isn’t always polarizing. Even Jordan despite his greatness, wasn’t/isn’t universally liked.

It’s easier to be likeable when you’re not seen as a threat. Maybe just below the GOAT conversation and even then, it’s rarified space to be both respected and likeable.
