i remember getting cheap ass kings tickets regularly when he was in his rookie year. this is what i expected out of him to evolve to. shame he spent most the years inbetween average or injured.

that being said i wouldn't risk max money on him. too inconsistent.

He balling, but no. He ain’t getting a max either

breh. everyone gets the max for the exception level they are if they are even remotely balling. look at all the bums that got overpaid like Mahimi, Biyombo, Parsons. and Reke always been good, just injured. now that he is showing he can shoot a lot of teams are showing interest in him. I dont think he finishes the year in Memphis...and Marc may not either for that matter. there are a lot of fringe contenders that could make a strong postseason push if they added someone like him. like, he'd be devastating I think coming off the bench for the Wiz. He could play along side Wall/Beal and he could run would Porter/Oubre. He is a versatile player. If Hayward aint coming back this year, Celts could make a run at him. Reke and Lou Williams are two of the most attractive pieces to teams trying to up their seeding or make a run at the top of their conference.

If you talking about him getting the MLE, that’s not a max contract.

What exactly is "Max Contract Level"? It's subjective as shyt. He's putting up max numbers but I wouldn't give him max money, based primarily on the injury history.

if you think the Hawks, Grizz, or even his old team in Sac wont offer him a "max" deal, you are crazy. someone will offer it and he will get it for sure because he is too good not to take that chance for teams wallowing in mediocrity. you got guys like Mozgov that make 5x more than Reke and never in his career been even half as good. :what:

I can see Sixers or Celts picking him up but not giving him max for different reasons...but a bum squad? With no hopes of luring big time FA's,

sheeeeeeeeeeeeeit.

I betcha Mavs are thinking of every possible way they can get rid of the rest of Wesley Matthews 17 mil per year contract and get Reke. :mjlol:

Did I say that's what I thought, nikka? :stopitslime:

The Hawks would sign him, but not to a Max. Our GM playing the long game and is gonna be more strategic with our money. Mavs, Grizzlies, sure. Don't go back to Sacramento though.

well, let me put it like this, because semantics is tricky in this situation.

Say Reke gets a 4 year deal worth $25 million per year. That is more than Beal who has a max contract. Its not Reke's max because he been in the league for 8 years.
Chandler Parsons had 2 knee surgeries and missed a lot of games the season before and he got a max deal. Think about that.

Greg Monroe signed a max contract. :mjlol: Everyone's max is different and it changes yearly with the cap. He will get a contract that will be worth more than some max deals that were signed two years ago. Also, some players are damn near making max money, they just on one year contract like Redikk. So lets be clear....Reke's true max would be upwards of 30 mil and of course he aint getting that because as we said, he is not a superstar, he has been injured, and he is 28.....but he should be able to bag a deal somewhere in the 22-24 mil range which would be more his real life actual max.

I said that because no one wants to go to Atlanta. no offense breh, but they are small market. their rise to contention post Dominique was with a team full of no superstars. they have to build through the draft and push for free agents. who was the last big free agent signing they had? Millsap in 13? Dwight in 16? I would hope the Hawks are strategic with their money but they are rebuilding and they need some veterans to help with the build.

Great season but he will need more than 1 season, lol. He might get 15 mil a year for short term deal if team is desperate. But not many teams have cash.

You don't max the help when you have no build yet.

he is going to get way more than MLE if you talkin bout a team using $5-8 mil. more than 3x that, possibly 4x depending on the team. Unless you are talking mid-level average. I think he will be in the 100/4 or 80/3 range at minimum. Again, gotta think, Parsons getting 94/4. Hardaway Jr getting 71/4. One was banged up the other was unproven. With Reke, you have a guy that avg 16-5-5 for his career and having his best season so far with a dramatic improvement in 3pt shooting and one of his better assist-turnover seasons.

Hawks are a few years away, right? Reke aint gettin no 5 year deal. He likely gets a 3 year deal. They will have to max someone or come close or that will put them even farther out. Cant attract FA's to a chump squad in a small market at that full of first and second year players surrounded by bums.
