because the Wiz felt they really needed him. didnt want to disrupt what they felt was a good core. they have been a little disappointing so far, not off to the start they wanted. so they thought they would be moving forward. also Otto did start off pretty hot and cooled off. he can be a really good player but he has to get consistent. He is a good 2-way player.

but that is my point, a lot of max deals now are starting on average of about $25 mil per year. Millsap getting 30. Lowry actually get 33 avg after contract pays out. this is why I think Tyreke can get a 3 year 75 mil at least. I mean Lowry heart and soul of Raps but he gets hurt every year too.

Oh ok..

yeah, see that's what kills me. these guys get on here and post all day talking about such and such wants so much money and they aint gonna get it...but they ALWAYS do. Otto Porter aint even that bad really, because he gonna be good I think. nikkas be actin like a versatile player like Reke aint gonna get paid.

Allan Crabbe making $20 mil a year damn near and he dont avg 12ppg. Tyler Johnson contract is backloaded. Last two years of his deal he will get $20 mil per year. He not even a starter.

all of those deals came when
1.the nba teams had a lot of cap space
2. From teams so far over the cap they wouldn't be able to sign free agents anytime soon so they may as well retain their players.
3.From teams who tried to sign a player to a poison pill contracts due to being Restricted free agent and were subsequently matched.

Lastly the reason why Reke was signed so cheap this season alone is because a lot of teams no longer had cap space to spend due to all of the overspending they did during the previous offseasons.

I honestly think he is

But I don't think a team gonna max out on him
Because I'm pretty sure most teams think he just playing this great for a big contract and gonna go back to chill mode.

He'll get a nice contract tho because he's having a helluva year

Reke always put up good numbers, his jumper was just unreliable, but now he's hitting at a decent clip, it's makes him more of a threat. Wonder what would of been if they traded Holiday instead of Evans.

Then Evans would've walked for nothing last offseason just like Gordon and Anderson did the year before.

Jrue's been better than Reke this season anyway so it's a moot point; putting up almost the same stats for the season despite starting in a career worst shooting slump and plays all-nba caliber defense on the other end on top of that.

Tyreke will probably get ~$15-20 mil on a shortened 2-3 year deal if he keeps up this level of play and stays healthy throughout the season.
