No dude is a good/very good rapper, but this pop lane is not really natural to him. He was more suited to being a hipster/indie hero like he was in 07-08. I will say this The Gifted is his best studio album, he really strikes that balance and still remains believable.

I just had a chance to listen to wales tape. Came in not expecting way too much but the production on this was 10/10 I loved the live instruments. Definitely would br good in concert. I've seen wale twice in concert. The ambiance is always better than his raps. He usually uses local dc go-go bands to play the rhythm which is super dope.

Back to the album there are some gems on there and I think this album is way more genuine/true to his roots. I don't hear the mmg influence

I knew Ambition was stuck at 480 but I thought they still gave him the plaque. Anyways eventhough they were released a year apart, there's nothing Meek can do that'll make up that 100k difference, I doubt it ever gets past 375k. And Lotus Flower Bomb didnt go gold?

I never said Knack is groundbreaking but on a serious note I was listening to Wale's album in the whip omw back home and so far it's pretty good. Wale's flow and delivery is what I don't really like.
