shyt .....Kidd might be a better fit on the Nets right now over Kyrie
and I'm from Cleveland
:comeon:

U talking about team fit...

The Nets already have plenty of offense. A player like Kidd could help them because he would be a third to fourth option and would bring something they lack which is defense. If he played on the current Nets he would be used off-ball as a 3&D player it would be Harden running the offense.

Even then it's arguable if he would make them better because the Kyrie/Harden/Durant trio is unstoppable :mjlol:

None of this has anything to do with whose better. Kidd is a better passer, defender, rebounder than Kyrie but his lack of ability in the half court and ball dominance for an inefficient offensive player makes him less valuable to me than Kyrie.

Damn we living in a world with Jason Kidd not being a top 10 PG of All Time wow

Straight Blasphemy....

:mindblown:

Am I hallucinating? I know Kidd couldn't score more than 15 points on a daily basis, but he was a floor general. I remember them Nets NBA Finals. Let me see Kyrie or whoever lead their team to multiple finals, even from the East.

The era was so weak the shyt isn't even worth talking about I don't even know what point you're making...

Not only that but Kyrie, nor Lillard, nor Westbrook played in that era so there's no telling what they would do...

Kidd sure as hell is not leading a team to anything in today's league as a number one option :mjlol:

Kyrie '16 Finals>>anything Kidd did :comeon:

Lmao...

Bro Cousy was the first superstar backcourt player, first superstar point. You can't look at him in the lens of today's game, it's a much different game and players are built differently...

Cousy was the first guy to put English on his handles and passing, he was a showman and the way we talk about Kyrie's today, is how people viewed Cousy then. Except he was an actual league MVP. The Celtics were listless before Cousy showed up...

He was also an outstanding defender....

To be fair, Cousy aint a Top 5 point anymore either, too many guys have passed him up since he retired, but he is still well deserving of Top 10 consideration. Cats completely exclude him off their Top 10s and it doesn't make sense, if its a skill competition he's one of the better distributors and defenders, and if it's a "put in work" competition, his accolades speaks for itself, there isn't a ton of point guards who win MVPs...
Cousy, Big O, Magic, Rose, Steph Curry, MAYBE Allen Iverson (depending how you classify him). That’s it lol. Cousy gotta get props for being an MVP point guard when hardly anyone else has done it, and one of those guys was 6’9”.

Up to that point Oladipo was low key considered a bust. What he did the next season is irrelevant. Oladipo soaked up game from Russy and he came back a completely different player the next season. He was shredded and had a completely revamped bag of offensive tricks. He also improvement from a biomechanic standpoint. It's why he won Most Improved Player. U cannot compare the Oladipo that played in OKC and Orlando to what he became in Indiana. That's disingenuous...
Calling Oladipo a "bust" is bullshyt, he averaged 16-4-4 with great defense in his 3 seasons in Orlando, they just were (and still are) a messy team that couldn't get their guard rotation right. OKC thought he was such a "bust" that they gave him an $84 million extension right off the bat. Oladipo was above-average for a 2-guard on both ends of the court.

In Oladipo's first 10 games after leaving OKC he averaged 24-4-4 on great shooting. I'm tired of hearing the "someone poured magic fairy dust on him that offseason". Those were literally his very first games after leaving OKC. He could have been good in OKC but playing with Russ was some bullshyt. Oladipo's 1st playoff series that year, he averaged 23-8-6 on 42/40 and took Bron to 7. But we're supposed to believe that he wasn't good enough for a #2.

Sabonis was a rookie dude averaged 6/3 on 39% FG,
Now guys are getting downgraded because Westbrook forced them to only shoot from the corner and stole all their rebounds? :snoop:

Sabonis was a #11 pick with a mature game, his numbers sucked cause he was a big man who was forced by Russ to stand in the corner shooting jumpers so Russ could play inside (cause he can't shoot like a guard is supposed to). In Sabonis's first ten games after leaving the Thunder he averaged 14 and 11 on 63% shooting. It's not like he needed time to develop, he just needed a fukking chance and he wasn't gonna get that if Russ was gonna chase triple-doubles all game.

How did Sabonis IMMEDIATELY go from being a non-factor on the Thunder to being a force on the Pacers? You figure that out.

Adams and Kanter are solid rotational bigs and were arguably the second best players
So Oladipo is a 16-4-4 guard with great defense and he isn't even a top-3 player on the team?

Adams and Kanter CRUSHED San Antonio in 2016, combined to average 20 and 20. Their dominance inside in games 4-5-6 is a major reason the Thunder turned it around on the Spurs. So why couldn't they do that in 2017? Because Westbrook wanted it to be about Westbrook.

Grant wasn't Grant from now he was just an energy guy with defense
Seems like we're getting an ever-lengthening list of guys who "weren't the player they could be" when they played with Russ....

Grant had been a 10 and 5 guy for Philly, he was a good 6th-man for the Thunder, like you say energy and defense and he could put the ball in the bucket when he was given a chance.

Roberson is trash dude is nothing but a defender he wasn't even defended beyond the arc and was Hack-a-Shaq'd in the playoffs huge liability.
Callin him "nothing but a defender" is lame when he's one of the best defenders in the league. It's also bs to complain that he was hack-a-shaq'd in the playoffs but then ignore he averaged 12 and 6 that series shooting 41% from three and played lockdown defense while putting together a crazy 2.4 steals and 3.4 blocks a game. Other than ft shooting, Roberson balled out that postseason.

You also ignored that Taj Gibson was an above-average stretch 4 (was a 12 and 7 guy with good defense for Chicago before the trade, dropped to 9 and 4 on the Thunder for some reason....) and McDermott was one of the best-shooting forwards in the NBA.

That team was awful they were also 30% in 3PT. Russy did what he did with no spacing had them playing at a near 50 win pace. He was literally going ape shyt night in and night out it was ridiculous.
He's the fukking point guard, it's HIS job to provide the spacing. That's the thing with Russ, he needs someone else to do everything else. He doesn't give you shooting, he doesn't give you defense, he doesn't give you court vision or leadership on either end...he basically just makes disruptive drives and then takes rebounds from your bigs.

The Jazz series was an even match-up. Jazz are a team take a look at win/loss record and league ranks that year on both ends. Donovan Mitchell wasn't your regular rookie dude is nice. Sure, getting outplayed some games by a rookie is a blemish I suppose
Getting outplayed by a 20yo rookie is a blemish "you suppose"? How are you going to be top-10 all-time when you can't even outplay a rookie in your own era?

Since KD left, Russ has been outplayed by the opposing guard in every single first-round series. Think on it. Harden, Mitchell, Dame, and CP3. Doesn't matter if they were at the end of their career or the beginning, doesn't matter if they were a shooter, driver, or passer. He even let Pat Beverley outplay him in Game 1 in 2017 and then let him hit the dagger on him in Game 2. How can you take him seriously over guys like Jerry West and Gary Payton when he can't even get over his 1st-round opponent?

I've posted it before, they ignore it. It's not like these players are developing years done the road, they always ball out the MOMENT they leave the team but then supposedly they were hot trash when they played with Westbrook.

And I don't know how his stans ignore the whole part about Westbrook getting outplayed in four consecutive 1st-round series since KD left.

I'll never forget him in the playoffs...in the clutch...completely ignoring his man to wait for the rebound the entire possession, costing his team the game.

What kind of fukking defensive stance is "hands on your knees, standing in empty space, facing the rim, not looking at the player you're guarding"? And with 2 minutes left in a 2-point game.

At least he got his triple-double, right?

Oladipo was just an average starting wing player...dude was nothing special in Orlando. Even those box score numbers you're citing are just cool nothing crazy with average to below average efficiency. He had lot of potential but he had not lived up to it.

I didn't say anyone poured magic fairy dust on him. He improved his game and his body significantly that off-season. I provided you with links of articles you can read to show you how he made the leap he did. The player he became in Indiana was not the player he was in Orlando or Oklahoma City.

Sabonis was a rookie it doesn't matter what he did the year after. He improved his game and got a more featured role the next season in Indiana.

We're really going to sit here and hype up Adams and Kanter? They were solid rotational big men and that's that.

Grant couldn't put the ball in the bucket he was nowhere near the player he is today. He greatly improved his shooting and really all facets in coming years. I don't think anyone could have predicted when he left Denver that he would put up the numbers he did in Detroit much less when he was on Oklahoma City.

Roberson fukking sucks. He was a college PF that found a niche as a defender and couldn't do anything on offense he was being left open from the corners and was getting Hack-a-Shaq'd. OKC made a huge mistake giving that guy the money they did and giving him such a large role because of his defense. That dude is a huge liability.

Lol, Russy was one of the best three point shooters on the team at 34% and the highest volume shooter on the team and he isn't even a shooter. They were relying on Alex Abrines for spacing. :comeon:

Almost all of Russy's teammates speak very highly of his leadership and he brings it every single night. :comeon:

U are sitting here overrating a supporting cast of young Oladipo, Steven Adams, Enes Kanter, Andre Roberson, and rookie Sabonis, a team that ranked 30th in 3PT%. Downplaying a year this man averaged a triple double with 31 points per game, a historic season. OKC fell off a cliff whenever he sat down (10.5 points worse offensively when he sat). He was a singular one man engine and you really in here discrediting that.

GP over Russell? I'm not even gon entertain that and I didn't say he was better than Jerry West. West mostly gets ranked among the SG's anyway...

This is another thing condensing Russell’s playoff career to just the post-KD years (also ignoring context) and attributing all of OKC’s success to KD while blaming Russ for every shortcoming...

When in fact they were a two-headed monster and there were series where Westbrook was KD’s equal or better...

This is something that Russell haters and KD stans love to do.
