Nothing but facts from the REAL Isiah Thomas

shyt be looking like a fukking game wide 3 pt contest, no d whatsoever

Average final score be like 185 - 179

How did THIS happen in the rough and tough 80's? Zeke dominated this game. His team won 186-184 in 3 OT. Score was 145-145 at the end of regulation.

It makes sense though. These days there's stretch 4's and 5's. Why not let the playmaker get the rebound so he can push the floor while the big guys can get set. It's more entertaining. Ya'll wanna watch half court offenses all day but nowadays the game is way more fast paced. It's all about transition offense. Plus in the playoffs it'll slow down anyway when defenders are much more disciplined. bytchin just to bytch
Dog, the league was much faster on average in Isiah's day than it is today...

The highest scoring game in NBA history took place in 1983 with a 186-184 score.

1986-87 NBA: 110 points per game
2016-17 NBA: 104 points per game

:dahell: are y'all talking about?

Centers and pfs aren't as good at rebounding on average in today's NBA.

Walt keeps saying it every single game, boxing out is a lost art. Also with hese rules and better 3 pt shooting you can't camp in the lane. Even boxing out and fighting for the rebound might get you called for a foul now, whne it used to be lmuch less fouls called. So I guess everyone relies more on timing and positionning, 2 things that smaller players can also do, especially to steal rebounds or "sneak in".

6'10 nikkas now shooting like 6'3 nikkas then

That's the difference.

Isiah should know. Laimbeer was only in the league because of his shooting + 'toughness' stitch

Those Detroit teams were ahead of the game in that area. So instead of one team doing it, all of them do it, but only better.

Tell this nikka to STFU
