Thats a symptom.

Rap used to have a big pro black scene then white people who dont care about black people took over with white consumers who dont care about black people funding them.

Funny thing about that is inner city violence was alot worse in those times. Way worse than what it is now.

Rap used to have a big pro black scene then white people who dont care about black people took over with white consumers who dont care about black people buying albums funding them which turned it into what we have now.

Racism and white supremacy is the disease and all of that are the symptoms.

....After the it was mostly looked at as party music, I tell ya H'what.

When in American history were asians allowed to immigrate here with dirty money?

The dude I quoted was talking about Toronto, Canada, not the US. And if you think Asians along with other racial groups (some including blacks) immigrated with clean money and non-illegal intentions, you're delusional.

Well based on the rap scene now showing only a certain type of rap affecting the youth cuz most of them look up to rappers its gonna go back to those times unless we do something.

Some of you guys say "we don't support each other" maybe that's because they aren't many opportunities to support each other?

There are very little black businesses around my way. If there were some black owned grocery stores or restaurants (Outside of Jamaican spots) or shyt for my everyday needs I wouldn't be fukking with other businesses and support my people exclusively.

Just a thought. I know this is a pity party thread though.

Yes, there is little to support in terms of businesses. But I mean support in other forms. Mentorship, upper management who don't hire blacks. Man, We got a new Indian director and this dude brought up 4 Indian nikkaz. That's my point. You need help to make it. We get none of that. The "c00ns" yall speak of? They are the worse kind.

Anyways, it's not a pity party. The theme here has been, education, stop having children and stay the fukk out of jail. Be productive. That's shyt we need to do. I don't see any pity there.

I don't think there's anything wrong with indicating the hurdles we face.

I think its moreso that we're unaware/blind to our problems and less that we're not acknowledging them. Especially the younger generation coming up. Black pride doesn't exist anymore. The hiphop/rap culture that predominantly defines black culture is keeping us in a dumbed down mindstate. The degradation of women is killing the black family unit. Young black boys are being taught that the black woman is merely a sex object. Young black girls are being taught that the ideal black man is a "boss", "thug", or "d-boy". We are being taught/conditioned to recklessly spend our money on everything but black-owned businesses. And above all else the hiphop/rap culture is conditioning us to hate/fear and not trust each other. Most of yall dont see wat rap is doing to our collective minds but hopefully one day you all eyes will be opened like mine was. Ive said it many times before here and ill say it again: THE BLACK COMMUNITY WILL NEVER PROGRESS AS LONG AS THE RAP/HIPHOP CULTURE IS THE DOMINANT FORM OF BLACK MUSIC. Its a poison yall
I agree...but remember--there are some positive rappers

Lack of an entrepreneurial spirit. the first thing we do when we graduate is rush of to work for cacs. If we nurture that spirit, our communities will improve ten fold. Because with the money comes employment, good schools, crime reduction etc

Unfortunately most of us, and I include myself in that can't wait to rush off to work for the white man as soon we graduate.

The quality of our communities is a reflection of the quality of our entrepreneurs.

That's a quote by Devin Robinson, shyt had me like :wow:
