Come to Toronto breh them nikkas are buying out everything. But in Toronto the poorest areas are predominantly black. You nikkas can't put 100% focus on racism, I'll focus on the real problems.

Yeah I agree and sometimes think people like to put the majority of their energy on racism because honestly making money can be done by more of us than are doing so and you need a reason why you haven't gotten further. Racism is that answer when we are seeing a rise of self made people all the time because of advancements in technology and other things. Also like you I think racism is a problem but I don't think its the biggest one. I also think people need to see more black success they are around not just hear about online so it doesn't seem so mythical to them.

I'm sorry but this is bullshyt. Seriously, stop making excuses for our failure. we are talking about improving our community and therefore our standard of living. This will take hard work, discipline, sacrifice, a great deal of risk etc for that happen. Simply saying they have obligations that require stability is just a cop out.

I agree we have to get past the point of if we fail the dang near automatic reason is something out of our control. That's just a sad way to live life and gives us no accountability at all which for anybody is bad IMO. It takes all them things you mentioned to get stuff popping and even the its not guaranteed. Its just increases the chances of it happening.

I agree with both of y'all and this also brings me to something else I noticed. People don't want to let folks have different ways to get to the same place. We might not agree but lets not try to shame and clown anybody on either side for having differing views. Nobody is a c00n for thinking of a different way to get to the same solution of improving blacks as a whole. That makes no sense IMO and is just divisive. We can agree to disagree but lets all realize while we have different ways of getting there we have the same goal in mind.

Racist cops, racist employers, racist co workers, racist politicians hurt us way more than we could ever hurt ourselves.

Outside of politicians because they can make bullshyt laws the others could do these things but they aren't a guarantee even though of course you don't want them to happen either. I've never had a racist co worker to my knowledge (in full disclosure most co workers have been black except when working for the gov), employers, cops (just annoying stops but shyt happens). I'm not saying it doesn't happen but at the rate they can stop you for the most part from doijgn things? I can't agree with that when a lot of people on here probably got hired by a white person, work with white co workers and not had any racist stuff happen, and probably haven't had crazy cop run ins. That's why I can agree it happens but for the avg person I don't think its enough to stop them from accomplishing whatever they are trying to do. I think that's what @Nomad1 is saying but I don't know for sure. If it is I agree with him.

Good luck getitng a job with a record, adjusting to normal life after being in jail and working low paying jobs for the rest of your life and still staying positive.

If it don't help the collective I'm not going to do it mentality of some of y'all. That's that bullshyt right there. I have a do what I think is best for me first mentality cause if I don't realistically most aren't going to care about what happens to me. That's y'all on here or anybody else regardless of race to keep it real. If that means I'm an individualist so be it. If you were getting at a girl are you going to wait for the collective, get a job, take care of your family, etc?
