as far AA goes, being inclusive to other ethnic groups. stop importing other people's problems and solve your own first. plus, where does the idea that we all have to identify as the same ethnic group come from? there are thousands of ethnic groups all over africa. this is pretty much our own version of being "color blind" but with ethnicity and it solves nothing. it is ok to be different. just respect one another.

Well, I cant fault someone for looking out for their individual selves. Everyone ultimately has their own personal best interest at heart. Its natural and II refuse to demonize someone for doing that.

And if there are people who want to branch off from the black community then its probably better to let them do it. That is of course until they start hurling barbs and spewing nonsense and hate towards us or siding with white supremacy. Once that happens they become enemies. Outside of this people are going to do what they want. I say let them.

I said as much so tell me something I didn't say. I'm not indivualistic per se but I don't use the collective as my crutch as some like to do. I have a do what I think is best for me first mentality cause if I don't realistically most aren't going to care about what happens to me. If you were getting at a girl are you going to wait for the collective, get a job, take care of your family, etc? That's my point I do what I have to do to get things popping for myself period and let people see the results and hard work you put in that way. The funny thing about my "individualism" is since I do positive things people want to know how you do it but I'm only for myself right even though I still help others when I can? Just doesn't make sense my man. I'm just a believer of "being bout that action boss" and inspire others that way instead of waiting for others to help me outside of family esp as most of us are grown men.

All groups aren't holding hands either y'all have to get off this fantasy land of hyping up other races stuff is sickening. Its disagreements in all groups period.

I'm not sure what college you go to, but see if they have any programs where you can volunteer, find someone who's black who's part of the program, and be a friend/advocate/mentor to them. Teach them about black history and let them know they're not inferior to cacs. It's something small I know, but the dude you inspire might the black messiah that the FBI has been terrified of for the last 60 years.

If you ain't got the time for that, become a pen pal to a breh in prison. Right back and forth to him and let him know that there are black people out there that care. Recommend some books on black consciousness for him to read and just try to be a friend to him.

I think the point he was making is if you remove hip-hop, our problems still remain. I already know rap is poison (and even got made fun of for saying rap won't be played in my house when I have kids ), but on the list of things that are affecting us, I don't think it's even top 100.
