So apparently 3 seasons are planned and they all going back in time to It awakenings, 1935 and 1908:

So seems like the other seasons will focus on the big massacres which makes me question what big massacre happens for this season :picard:
It's been heavily implied that
the fire at the Black Spot was the interlude this season focuses on.

This show is flames so far. Episode 2 was crack. Everything going on between Ronnie and the chick that got taken away by the white coats was dope, I hope Ronnie pops can make it through the bullshyt. Racist ass crooked cops tryna pin it on him

The grocery store scene was very well done and creepy, nasty...

Then the end with Leroy breh out there at the dig site. shyts gettin interesting as hell. The military def tryna harness Pennywise power :damn:

I'm still on the fence with this one. I feel like they are trying to do too much. I did like episode 2 more than episode 1.

I mean it running like the Tim Curry miniseries. First "episode" (not really an episode since the miniseries was just 2 parts) was Bill losing Georgie. Then it went through each kid making it's scare appearances. Again, if you look beyond the over the top CGI, the show is doing a good job of establishing the dark undertones of the city of Derry.

My issue isn't about the pov aspect. I don't feel the kids plot meshes with whatever they are trying to present from the Military angle. You also have the Native Americans in the background scoping out the Military. You have the time accurate racism that doubles on to the IT conflict for all of the black characters. For me personally it's just shoving a lot in. But, I'm trying to see where it goes.

I like the show so far, but you might be right. I did notice they included a couple Native American characters.

I mean, Maine was and still is an extremely White state (over 90%). There weren't/aren't many Black people in Maine, but there are even fewer Native people in the state.

I guess the producers want to have some "diversity" in the cast lol. It's going to be tougher to do that in future seasons, though. The next two are supposed to be set in 1935 and 1908, respectively.
