It really is a shame that Samsung is now going the planned obsolescence route with their phones.

MANY use it and its cheap as fukk overall to put that feature in. This is simply a cash grab to jump from 32GB to 64 or even 128GB in Apple's case. You are simply blind if you don't see it. HTC tried it with the HTC One line and got a rude awakening. Samsung is just doing this because of their dominant position in the android space at the moment.

shyt is really inexcusable that people accept planned obsolescence or companies making shyt difficult for no reason.
all that shyt coming to a end breh.. nobody gives a fukk

Then why was HTC forced to bring it back? Clearly there is a market for it, just because YOU don't find it useful doesn't mean the rest are going to be sheep.

Local storage is invaluable to those who value privacy and things that are important enough to keep on your person at all times.

aint no privacy.. they can listen in on your phone without you using it.. i dunno what kind of privacy you think you have.. If privacy is a concern.. you shouldn't own a smartphone with tracking.

Im on my 3rd note and I was hyped about copping Note 5 but now I'm waiting to see what Apple gone bring out.

Supposedly Apple has been working on the one feature that all phone companies should... durability. New stronger metal and glass.

Samsung....

There's a reason Samsung dominated Android. Samsung is a smart company. They will shamelessly steal any idea that's good especially from Apple. Samsung will ridicule Apple for something in a commercial one year and the next integrate that same idea into their phones with no apologies. Samsung basically has the Apple design philosophy of the Android partners, hell they even lock their phones down with Knox. If you want an Apple iOS like experience on Android Samsung and the Galaxy series is the go to company.

My first 3 Android phones were the HTC EVO, HTC EVO 3D, and HTC EVO LTE. After experimenting with an iPhone 5 for a bit I got a Galaxy S5 and from that point on I'm not really messing with anybody but Samsung in the Android space. I don't necessarily dislike iOS like many Android elitist. I still have my iPhone 6 and if I don't sell it I'll probably randomly switch back and forth between it and the Galaxy S6 depending on my mood.

I guess my point is what you're criticizing Samsung for is the very reason they dominate Android and HTC is looking like they're gonna fall. Once HTC folds and they probably will who is gonna challenge Samsung? LG? Nah. Motorola? Nope. Samsung will basically rule Android next to Google.

They stole me from HTC with their shameless jacking of other companies. I mean what is Samsung Pay coming next month if not a shameless jack of Apple Pay using the same mechanic they stole from Apple with the fingerprint scanner.

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

The reason Samsung dominates the Android market is because they are biggest company out of all the Android OEMs & have spent a ridiculous amount of money on Marketing their devices over the years that other Android OEMs can't match. Not to mention that Samsung releases more devices every year than any other Android OEM.

I don't need a SD card myself, but it's dumb that people think it's ok for Samsung (and Google) to omit these. It's a cheap and easily implemented feature that literally has no con. Stop trying to clown people that may want or need this kind of storage. It's childish. One person might use his phone for Snap and Twitter. The other might want his whole damn movie collection on his phone. Both are valid uses. Until everyone has truly unlimited data that can be accessed literally anywhere on Earth, the SD card slot will always be better than the cloud.

I give a pass to the battery lockdown if having a premium feeling device is the concern. Personally, I don't give a fukk as I will be putting a case on it anyway.

FOR ME I NEED A SD CARD AND SPARE BATTERY. I KNOW THE MASSES WONT HAVE A SITUATION LIKE MINE.

I TAKE 100-200 PICTURES A DAY. ALL THE PICTURES ARE OF PROTOTYPE CARS. THE CLOUD IS NOT AN OPTION. BETWEEN THAT AND MY MUSIC I WOULD HAVE LIMITED SPACE TO WORK WITH.

I COULD UPLOAD MY MUSIC TO THE CLOUD BUT THEN I BURN THROUGH MY DATA PLAN TOO FAST. MY CURRENT SITUATION REQUIRES A SD CARD.

I LIKE HAVING A REMOVABLE BATTERY BUT I CAN LIVE WITHOUT IT.
