Only 17 players have scored more points than Isaiah Thomas since he entered the NBA.

He's made $29 million in his pro career. (Same amount Gordon Hayward made last season alone).

Yet he only shot over 45% once in that span. And you might not find one player who was a bigger defensive liability.

Not to mention the whole 5 teams in 8 seasons issue, with some sort of rumors of locker room problems coming from every one of them. Teams ain't looking to cripple their cap so they can pay you to shoot 43% while giving up 50% the other way and bringing a negative spirit to things.

if he can prove healthy and back to form, all he has to do is not be running his mouth and he will be fine. he wont get a max, but Ainge never intended on giving him one anyway and then he got traded. depends on the market but he is going to be a mercenary I think at this point. I can see him getting deals like $35 mil over 2 or 50 over 3.

I think his opportunity for those type of deals is done too. He would have to end up playing big minutes in Denver & putting up big numbers which i can’t see happening.
