I been listening to a lot of some of my R&B mixtapes from the 90's and when I heard this song:




I was like man, it's a shame that cats down even really understand melody and the power of showcasing their vocals anymore. Mainstream R&B use to be so rich and soulful. Now it's just a bunch of bullsh*t.


Obviously I have a lot of other favorite songs as well as albums from the 90's and back but what are some of your favorite songs and albums from the 90's?

why is there so many singers who can barely hit a high note? where are the ones who can? there needs to be at least balance, obviously black people dont have a problem with the lack of soulful singing on the radio

not really house and trance always had its own lane....RnB artists saw how that Kelly Roland record sold and they all jumped on the wave.....

Ive always listened to house but the stuff they are putting out isnt as soulful as soulful house or as funky as funky house doesnt have the kind of percussion of tribal house..

Its basically pop music sung to a four to the floor basic beat and thats it...

Basically its music for radio and crossover and thats it...
