The concept of skin tone is a very strange one. You legit have certain black people that hold on to the belief that if you ain’t Manute Bol black or Wesley Snipes black, then you ain’t dark skin.
How does a black person reconcile this idea given the history of racism and colorism?
There are legit studies that show dark skin people receive harsher sentences than light skin people.
I guess these so called “brown skin” people are somewhere in the middle of that bc of course the white society that you live in identifies you as such
