This is great analysis! The Jay-Z comparisons were great buzz at the time (most of us believed the hype, I def did), but they were always more ambitious than grounded in reality...

Lol you funny mane...

Tip did not have one of the greatest runs in rap history. Compared to LL? Hov? Cube? Ross? Wayne? Pac? Big? Em?

We can keep going, man hell no...

Again I'll reiterate I've always been a TI fan, still am. One of the most relatable rappers to my own personal story. But this thread is lacking balance, too many guys are going to the extreme on both sides!

TI had one of the greatest runs in rap history

Why would you quote me with your opinion? I don’t care what you think

All facts, though I'll say while Nas never seemed to push an image off wax, he definitely sold an unbelievable image of himself on wax at times. Doesn't take away from his talent and legacy, and I don't think it detracts from Ross legacy either. We know Ross wasn't this high level dealer. The dude is a GOAT, outside of Wayne, he has as good a claim as anyone for #2 South rapper ever...
:whoo:

Andre 3000, Big Boi, Chamillionaire, Ludacris, T.I., Big KRIT, J.Cole >>>>>Rick Ross'

They're all better artists with better quality albums IMO. Listening to a guy lie about being the "biggest boss" and a big time coke dealer is low quality trash Imo. He should thank Akon, T Pain, Wayne, Future, Drake & Khaled for his career because without them he wouldve been a one hit wonder :pachaha:

Because saying "TI had one of the greatest runs in rap history" is an opinion, not a fact, and no one asked you for your opinion either, dummy...

Some of you net nerds need to get over yourselves lmao...

None of those guys have the solo resume Ross has, but I can respectfully agree to disagree!

I remember picking that album up on the fly 'cause there was some special at the store and I needed to pick another album. Never heard of him at that point, but ended up like damn, the boy got skills

funny I dont remember how I got the album either but I am sure it was on special or a promo or something because I hadnt heard of him but picked it up off the strength of the single at which time Neptunes were gaining traction and Beenie Man was pretty hot. I had the same feeling with that album as I did with Power of the Dollar. I felt a star was in the making.

His first 3 albums (like most noteworthy rappers) are all dope, I would say at bare minimum TM is a classic album.

I dunno what it is with nikkas on here more concerned with being critics, saying you don't really fukk with him, thought he fell off ect, whatever. But No impact, legacy this and that...I don't understand.
