Human beliefs of any kind can be dangerous. People will look back at capitalism in the distant future as a type of religion that people believed in. Unfettered capitalism brought us the Dutch and British East India companies which have a body count of millions. Capitalism brought us the transatlantic slave trade.

There was financial incentive to dehumanize people and torture them into compliance to make money from plantations. Capitalism brought us climate change because companies like exxon KNEW as far back as 40 years ago that we would be in the situation we are in now, but refused to do anything about it because it would affect their bottom line.

Hunger for lucrative defense contracts and oil exploration brought us two wars that have produced nothing of value for the average American, but millions in the pockets for the likes of Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. Thousands of dead Arabs and Americans so that the ceos of these companies can sleep in comfort and cheat on their spouses with 1k an hour hookers.

Nationalism brought us nazis who killed over 6million civilians. Nationalism brought us ethnic conflicts happening to this day in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. People are willing to die in suicide missions for the glory of their in group. Its naive to blame religion as a force for pain in this world.

No matter how much you study those guys, you'll just get even more confused. I just don't get they're reasoning. Hell, I don't get Bin Laden's reasoning for 9/11. Every grievance he listed seemed lofty and not a concrete reason to attack the United States.

Yea Jarrah was different from the rest of the pilots. He kept in contact with his family and visited them over time. And was the only one out of the 4 to have a girl before the attack. It seem like he had a second thought or he was just trying to blend in by going to night clubs and drinking. Also it was said that he didn't share apartment with the other high jackers.
