Empire strikes back
well at this point its either
If this shyt is true fukk harbaugh.
a) harbaugh hated anyone telling him what to do, ie he was like only I can fire my oc. ie hella stubborn
b) the fire wasnt over roman
well at this point its either
If this shyt is true fukk harbaugh.
whats the difference though?
i know rex uses a lot of stand up formations on third down which are interesting
yeaI do think our defense would be different under Rex. Rex is much more aggressive. Plays more man as well. We know Vic doesn't like to blitz. Loves sending four guys and having a safety up top.
once rex lost revis and cromartie his defense went to sh!tyea
rex style is better suited for a team with a decent man to man secondary
lord fangio is a zone guy who likes to drop majority in coverage and let the qb try to beat them
I think with our personnel fangio is much better since DBs are still the biggest weakness on defense
I have no problem with Rex being the coach. I think Vic would stay as DC since they have a relationship and Rex would have us back to power running, which is what we do best.
lets pause for a minute
his azz better not be here next year got dammit

lets pause for a minute
where in the hell did we hear that roman was the problem in the first place???
it's like all season we suddenly went with "management hates roman and harbs won't let him go"
but i've never once heard that mentioned by press and definitely not by any 49ers players or staff
i'm beginning to think this was truly ONLY about harbs and his standoff ways... york seems to be one of those "my shyt don't stink, nose up in the air" types... i don't think this had shyt to do with the offense or roman
that would all make sense...... IF THEY FIRED ROMANI think it's the most logical narrative. With the amount of heat that Roman was getting, if Harbaugh and the FO were on the same page regarding Roman, he'd have been canned. But knowing how rabidly loyal Harbaugh is, it's likely that he tried to go to bat for his boy. We know from those AD tweets and some of the other comments from other O players that Roman wasn't liked in the locker room while Harbaugh was loved, so there's a natural tension point there.
But I have no doubt that Jed didn't like Harbaugh at all. Their personalities don't seem to match at all, so he was probably more amenable to the idea of getting rid of Harbaugh than a more impartial owner might have been. But if the offense was on point and we were going strong into playoffs, Jed wouldn't have the cover to fire Harbaugh. Jed probably wanted Harbaugh out of the building, and the bummy offense/Roman gave him the cover to do so.
that would all make sense...... IF THEY FIRED ROMAN
they actually haven't fired a single person.. but they need a new head coach.. who in all likelihood would want to pick his own coaches.. so again, if roman was any part of the issue, he should have been the first to go. why even flirt around with the idea of keeping him and also still handing that man a paycheck, when you hated him and have zero wish to keep him
