There's a certain rhythm in communications between Black people, a cadence that comes naturally to Black people but it can effectively be overwritten with a Caucasian cadence if the Black person consumes too much Caucasian media. Television sitcoms do the most damage because that's where Black children are subconsciously infected with Caucasian rhythms in speech patterns, behaviors, gestures, humor etc.

When it's time for these Black men to communicate with Black women who haven't been infected with Caucasian rhythms, there's only so much they can discuss before the Black woman determines that something is off about the Black man. Oftentimes, the woman can't quite put her finger on it and concludes that he's either gay or a weirdo, she knows he's nice but something is offputting about him and even though she may find him physically attractive, that's where it begins and ends.

It seems the issue here is your reading comprehension. The argument is that a Black person who isn't socialized to effectively communicate with Black people will be alienated when it's time to communicate with Black people, this doesn't make them any less Black. They are still Black.
