It's dumb that when you download music , videos, etc to your phone or to an sd card you still don't own it.I have so much stuff that I have downloaded to my phone and Sd cards from Spotify, Google play music, Youtube Red,Tidal and Apple Music, that I cant use unless I pay $10 a month to use their service. But unless you want to waste your phone data you have to pay that $10 so you can listen to the music offline or use your Wifi if you have it.

They're not stupid. They don't want people downloading everything they want and cancelling their subscription.

Agreed not leaving my 15+ years of collecting music to a streaming service who could go bankrupt tomorrow. Sometimes you need to put your shyt on shuffle and go through your whole life experience again

I still download music and buy music

Gotta pay the artist
not in the mood to be at concerts with cacs not understanding personal space or some man trying to cope a feel of my girl ass :francis:

As with most things in life, it's a trade off.

Convenience, massive variety, portability, and affordability in exchange for ownership.

About 10 years ago I was getting into arguments with people that the whole point of the industry pushing streaming and on-demand services was severing your permanent ownership of media. I used to get clowned on too :umad:

People just don't think about the repercussions of how they consume. Too late now, the DVD and CD industries are about shot.
