I don’t know to many people who work at Popeyes that can afford to build portfolios .

Your describing a bunch of teenagers and men in early 20’s. I don’t think you have a real outlook on reality . You say stop trying to teach people to code because they can’t even open a bank account .

People working at Popeyes and Walmart have a harder time keeping bank accounts open because they are usually trying to keep there tank full and pay bills . You have to have money in your account to keep it open and to pay fees.

I only know a few people who have had the same job since 18 . They work at ford and hospitals and steel mills .

It’s hard to tell someone who makes $8.91 a hour to take all there money and buy a investment property .

Like I said you don’t have a realistic view.

The company I work for has a $250 referral program. If I get someone a job I get $250. If they are management it’s $500. IT is $1000. I bring people to the open house all the time . I’ve gotten 3 people a job . I notice a lot of people get turned off by words . People will say I can’t do data entry or I can’t be an administrative assistant . I don’t know what excel is . shyt like that . Once I tell people all you do is answer phones and scan in paper the whole mentality changes .

So maybe if you know someone doesn’t know how to open a bank account you should be trying to get them into a entry level position so the cane become familiar with the work and learn and grow . Not write them off because there not moving st your speed .

Black people we are always the worst to get hit during the recessions the layoffs the housing crisis and every other American policy that goes wrong .

It is your duty to help the next person up . Not cut them off because you don’t want them around your white friends .

I do agree though you should help friends and family first. I also agree cats come on here like OP thinking they should be taking seriously when I know family that makes more than what they showing off in a month. This is real life kin and just how easy it is,its easy to talk shyt about white supremacy until you feel like they let you in and give you some money,or you work hard,feel like black excellence,and begin to feel SUPERIOR to your circle and family. Many blacks you can watch,as they slowly begin to latch on to white supremacy ideology,and begin to repeat white supremacist rhetoric. This is why it pays to be self conscience,you can momentarily have that feeling,but begin to hear how you sound and snap out of it. Some black people never snap out of it and never look back though. So you see I'm not lashing out at rich or super succesful black people with the c00ning word,because the feeling of superiority is based on perspective. Poor black people have to be aware they can fall into the trap too,its just easier for succesful blacks to fall into the trap,because feeling superior is a feeling they have to constantly be on the look out for and fight against,when they have more than alot of black people.

Amen,and this is why I say sometimes black people feel pressure to maintain the same relationships they always had,so they don't feel like "sellouts" or to feel "real". But if your circle of friends currently ain't on shyt,or trying to do shyt. Sometimes its best for you to move on and find a new circle of more succesful BLACK friends,or black people with more positive foward moving mentalities.
