Probably the most under rated and overlooked artists of his generation.

Busta videos were events.

:stopitslime:

Busta was not overlooked in the 90's. He stood out from the group he was in and blew up as a solo while his group members fizzled.

He's not underrated because the song "Why We Die" was put together because Busta, Jay nd DMX were top 3 hottest solo artists from ny running the game in 99

Thats song Busta did with mariah was big. Busta was selling platinum. Busta did a 2 million dollar video with Janet...u cant be overlooked if someone is putting up that kind of money/.

The Underrated and overlooked category for the 90's would be Lord Finesse or Guru or Keith Murray or Kam or Big Mike.

Calm yourself.

I mean RIGHT NOW. He's over looked and under rated in his standing in hip hop and legacy.

LOL

I was going by how u worded it. .

But this generations opinion doesnt even matter. You wanna know why? Because in the 90's Mic Geronimo was bigger thne Big L but nearly 2 decades and a generation later and you would never know that Mic Geronimo was bigger then Big L in the 90's unless u were therebecause in 2017 Big L is bigger then Mic Geronimo. This generations grip on who was who in the 90's doesnt count. As long as we know wussup.

he is STILL the undisputed KING of hip hop music videos

I think there could be an argument about where Bustas career would be without Hype Williams. Was that Busta or was that Hype because Hype spread that same magic around. We acknowledge Missy as well for her creativeness with videos yet that was Hype too.

Has aged incredibly well :banderas:

Just listened to four of his albums and my neck is damn near fractured. I'm compelled to reconsider my top 10. Those who have listened to his catalogue, tell me it's not formidable to compute with that of the "goats"

I've Been Saying This For Years

Busta is absolutely top 15-20 All time

On the ELE intro he tried to scare the shyt out of us about the world coming to an end. On the Anarchy intro he continued the fear propoganda and it was still working. But all that apocolyptic hype fell off after Genesis.
When Genesis dropped 2 months after Sept 11th and his intro had nothing to do with anything apocolyptic. It was the 1 time after all that huffing and puffing where something actually just happened on the level he was promoting for years yet his intro is on some comedy shyt that didnt relate.

This is when Busta dropped the ball and got exposed as a false prophet because u could tell that Busta had moved on from all that Apocalyptic shyt and the album was already finished and being manufactured so it wasnt like he could stop what was already in motion and say "Oh shyt I need to change the intro for my album to do a 'Told You So' intro."
