That world we lived in pre 9/11 no longer exists breh.

Busta was on point.

:stopitslime:

Busta was on point?

Little girl: daddy, what's it gonna be like in the year 2000?

Dad: Well sweetheart, for your sake I hope it'll all be peaches & cream.
But I'm afraid the end time is near
The cataclysmic apocalypse referred to in the scriptures of every holy book known to mankind
It will be an Era fraught with boundless greed & corruption
Where global monetary systems disintegrate, leaving brother to kill brother for a grain of overcooked rice
The nations of the civilized world will collapse under the impressive weight of parasitic political conspiracies which remove all hope & optimism from their once faithful citizens :jbhmm:

Around the globe, generations of polluters will be punished for their sins
Un-shielded by the ozone layer they have successfully depleted
Left to bake in the searing naked rays of light :patrice:

Wholesale assassinations served to destabilize every remaining government
Leaving the starving & wicked to fend for themselves
Bloodthirsty renegade cyborgs created by tax-dodging corporations wreck havok :gucci:

Pissed off androids tired of being slaves to a godless & gutless system, where the rich get richer & the poor get fukked over and out
Unleash total world wide destruction by means of nuclear holocaust
Annihilating the terrified masses
Leaving in its torturous wake nothing but vicious, cannibalistic, mutated, radiating, and horribly disfigured hordes of satanic killers :duck:

Begged on revenge, but against whom?

There are so few left alive :shaq2:

Starvation reigns supreme, forcing unlucky survivors to eat anything & anyone in their path
Massive earthquakes crack the planets crust like a hollow egg shell
Causing unending volcanic eruptions :mjlol:

The creatures of the seven seas, unable to escape the certain death upon land, boil in their liquid prison :russ:

Disease then circles the earth, plagues & viruses with no known cause or cure
Laying waste to whatever draws breath, and human-kind having proven itself to be nothing more than a race of ruthless scavengers
Fall victim to merciless attacks at the hands of interplanetary alien tribes who seek to conquer our charred remains :ohhh:

This is, Extinction Level Event
The Final World Front, and there is only, one, year, left :damn:

So either you and Busta are full of it or everything Busta said actually did happen but Agent J made me forget because thats not how I remember the year 2000.

I think there could be an argument about where Bustas career would be without Hype Williams. Was that Busta or was that Hype because Hype spread that same magic around. We acknowledge Missy as well for her creativeness with videos yet that was Hype too.

Well, Busta and Missy's videos are among Hype's best work. He did a lot of videos before them, buy they arguably took his career to another level.

I agree with him being a legend & all... but let's be fair, he's been beyond washed up for at least 5 years now. Probably closer to 10. Even as a live performer.

Then again it doesn't matter because he's been a legend for a while & dropped his best music years & years ago. Plus that happens to a lot of artists

Man, woman, and child
When you think about it theres prolly only one MC who was more consistent in the 90s and that is Redman. Only thing keeping Busta from being mentioned with the goats is that he doesn't have an undeniable classic album. Tons of classic singles and features tho

busta is one of those weird cases where i feel like he's a great rapper, has undeniable classic tracks / videos even albums, but i can't really quote any verses off the top of my head :patrice:

These 3 lines from Scenrio were hooks on 3 popular hip hop songs

Heel up, reel up, bring it back, come rewind

Powerful Impact Boom from the canon.

Not at all. Hype just simply built on what LOTNS was doing already, but 7 years later with better technology. Busta was never going to do a in the hood type video... was never his style. Really, he could have blown any director, no disrespect to Hype Williams but a lot of those ideas were Bustas for sure... Hype did a great job bringing them to life though.

Someone mentioned classic verses. I've always been a fan of this verse from this very underrated posse cut...beat is vicious too. And never forget Look At Me Now...if that ain't a classic

Yo, you better practice what you preach
I got 7 MC's at 10 G's a show each
Never interfere and shyt, souvenirs for your ears and shyt
Clear poetry like William Shakespeare and shyt
Word is bond checkin me out
Hey what you talkin about
You lost and you walkin about
nikkas got beef they really want to chill and start talkin it out
Hey, oh my god, y'all nikka be buggin me out
Wish they could lay me down and have the police start chalkin me out
Now I zoom in on you and my nikkas start stalkin you out
Shut down on bullshyt you total recallin' about
This one's for my people and my nikkas up North
The rulership dynasty of Flipmode finally come forth
Exports and imports hittin you with flavors of all sorts
My squad comin through, chop your ear off
