So basically this a thread for people to feel comfortable with Yeezus as opposed to MCHG?

I still don't get why critics and fans feel the need to connect these albums. Yes, they were a duo for one album, but why compare the two albums. I feel like Rick Rubin drew the line in the sand for both albums by saying MCHG was a more traditional Hip Hop album and Yeezus was more experimental. These days people take experimental to automatically mean better and screw what the album actually sounds like.

:what: They connect the albums because they dropped around the same time (Yeezus even dropped a few weeks before magna carta).. People are saying they stopped listening to magna but they are still listening to Yeezus

But what does one have to do with the other. There were several other albums that dropped around that time also. Born Sinner? Wale's latest?

Again, one has nothing to do with the other. It'd be different if this was a "vs" thread, but it isn't. No need for Yeezus to even be compared. It's almost becoming Jay vs. Nas all over again.

You really want people to compare Jay-Z to Wale and J Cole breh? :what:

The albums dropped around the same time breh, the comments were that some stopped listening to Jays album but they still listen to Yeezus, nothing more.

If people are really comparing Kanye to Jay, how are Wale and J. Cole outlandish comparisons? Initially, you stated that Yeezus came out around the same time as MCHG. I simply pointed out a couple of other albums that came out around the same time.

My point is why even mention Yeezus. If you've stopped listening to MCHG, it's extra to say "but I'm still listening to Yeezus". It's just pointless.

I thought both discs were wack. Its hard not to compare them though, they dropped back to back and were by two artists whose last projects were a collaboration album together

This would be like if Drake and Wayne dropped solos the same week after a YMCMB drop, and u were like 'w-w-why are people comparing the two discs'
