alot of underground cats got signed to either a single deal, or development deal. dosent really take away from being underground cause shyt dosent pop off. People considered 50 underground while he was on Columbia. He was "signed" way before power of a dollar. perfect example would be somebody like Fred the Godson. cats consider him underground but im almost sure he had a couple deals that just didnt pan out. but to alot of cats hes a new underground rapper. Media lets you know what they want you to know. alot of cats dont know Joell Ortiz was aftermath unless you really followed dude like that
