Being white, I can tell you that white people dont know why they have privilege over anyone. They think it's natural or just don't think about it. Education on the root of inequality is key. I can tell you that from personal experience: I was ignorant until I studied these things, and then my perspective changed. I see no reason why that can't happen with others on a wider scale, for at least college-educated whites. It is possible.

Black people by nature of white supremacy and continued oppression are structurally inhibited from rising as a collective to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. I don't think it has much to do with fear as it has to do with education and understanding of the structural implications of the state of Black America. It's not common for anyone to fully grasp these concepts in a meaningful way. And even if they did, wealth is so differentiated and the gap is so large that self-contained economic strategies are insufficient to ameliorate it from a purely mathematical standpoint.

Of course, I'm not implying that changing white hearts and minds is something that the black community is responsible for. A revolution of understanding the implications of privilege has to come from within. Which is why aware white people need to spread the message and become organized.

"Being white" Oh.. It's Satan. Looking for a way to sabotage us.. :mjpls:

There are hundreds, if not thousands of books, documentaries, that have been put forth by dedicated blacks that outlined a blueprint for our advancement. We have had leaders and countless other individuals who've shed blood, sweat, and tears to help and educate their own people. Yet and still we are heading backwards, economically and now spiritually (at an even faster rate) . We have had 400 + years of historical evidence as to why we should be united as a people. We have had Marcus Garvey. We have had Malcolm X. We have had Martin Luther King and countless others. How tragic it is that after every opportunity we've had to collectively change, we are now in 2016 and heading back to the proverbial plantation. We didn't learn from slavery. We didn't learn from Jim Crow. A people who do not learn from their own history are bound to fail.

Black ppl live in some PTSD like this shyt is normal.

But we must keep fighting because we owe it to our descendants. We must work hard for a better tomorrow because if we give up they win. My ancestors in Haiti never gave up and kept fighting so I'm not gonna shame them by giving up. If we give up we lost. I understand the sentiment in this thread but we as black man have to man up there is a war outside. Is it hard? Hell yes but what is the alternative? Surrender and defeat? FOH!
We are a warrior race and do many things better then white folks. Every black man here has a warrior ancestors so you the blood of fighters and survivors. Every nikka is star.

Humans been on earth for hundreds of thousands of years, our current plight is only 400 years long. The Moors ruled for 700+ and lost their power so what makes you think white people are special.

Yall niiggas is straight puussy. Im out this thread.
Yeah breh comments in this thread have me disgusted. :scust:

I'll take like minded people to take the lead and the rest will follow. I know it's hard to get a majority black people on the same page and it can be frustrating hence Dr Anderson frustration. However, i still have faith that things will turn around, but it's not gonna be an easy thing.

The problem is poor blacks don't believe in personal accountability.

Poor blacks did before the civil rights era ended.

I'm not giving cacs a pass at all. I'm just the type to acknowledge all sides of the situation.

Even "educated" blacks or those trying to become educated are moving wrong. Look at how the biggest group of people fukking with them for profit scam colleges being black folks. There's articles saying that more blacks are going to college BUT are going for those liberal arts/caring degrees that won't get you paid in this economy. :mjcry:

Other cultures are pushing their kids into engineering, tech, bio, and medical. We're happy tarkisha wasted four years to be a social worker. :scust:

This is true. So many Black people are studying worthless stuff in college and racking up a crazy amount of debt.

Most of those students would be better off learning a trade, taking out a small business loan and starting a business.

Unless you are going to school to study STEM, education, pre-med, pre-law, economics, building construction, architecture, agriculture, nursing, etc., you are really wasting a lot of time and money.

We have far too many sociology, psychology, mass communications, etc. majors in the Black community. No disrespect to the brehs and brehettes with those degrees, but we have enough. We don't need any more of those.

It's almost like we need a running inventory of Black talent across the nation.

Once we see the gaps, we can send students on "nation missions" to these colleges. In other words, if we see we need more Black building construction companies for the Black nation, let's setup scholarship funds to incentivize Black students to pursue that major.

Not enough Black male teachers in Baltimore? Easy. Let's fund full-tuition scholarships for a decade at the public universities in the DMV targeted at Black males who want to study education.

This stuff isn't rocket science. We don't have future-looking leadership (economists, technologists, etc.) guiding the Black community. We have reactive leadership (preachers, entertainers, etc.) that spends too much time rolling in the mud with cacs, fighting every little battle.

We definitely need folks fighting those battles. But, it shouldn't be the leadership at the top. That leadership should be focused on strategies to move the people forward, not hopping on CNN every time someone says the n-word or someone gets shot.

That's one of the ways cacs keep us stuck. They know our top-level leadership is reactionary and gets distracted easily. They know our community is messianic and ebbs and flows with the reactionary leaders.

We should have the activists putting in work and the strategists putting in work, simultaneously. They shouldn't be the same people.

:yeshrug:Its no over. Black folks just need to learn to be ruthless and cutthroat to other races, c00ns and not eachother. Gotta learn how to play the corruption game. Everyone else do it but for some reason you got some black folks thinking most these thriving groups do it honestly. Especially that Detroit plan, he should have just did it and said fukk the rest. We need real black politicians that ain't scared of a fight ,getting dirty and blacklash.:manny:

Anyone else caught when he explained why entertainers should be addressed last?

Basically, they would catch on to our movement after we get some momentum, not lead it.

Yep. The problem in our community is that we have reactionary leadership guiding us.

Reactionary leaders should be getting talking point and action plans from our strategists.

The problem is we have reactionary leaders trying to also serve as strategists. It doesn't work that way!

listened this morning on my commute.

i totally understand Dr andersons frustration. the majority of blacks in america are finished, simple as that. the sad part is that it's willful for the most part. There are things that can be done to offset or neutralize the system of racism white supremacy, but blacks refuse to unite and act as a collective.
blacks cant even not have sex with whites how can you expect things to change?

america feeds off of the low self esteem of black people, which drives this capitalistic society.

i'm in a group chat with 2 friends. we talk about bullshyt etc etc, but during that push of black banks i tried to engage them in convo about it and dead ass was met with silence or passive comments.

this weekend they were going mad hard about the retro 1's that came out. yesterday my boy said he got 2 pairs, n my homegirl said she got her pair. plus they were going to the kanye concert. before any of you even come at me saying I'm hating i make more than both of them and passed on the j's and yeezy concert . the point is that most blacks are content with how things are. they expect everyone else to change racism, but won't do anything on their own. i literally could not convince them to even move SOME money to a black owned bank, yet they exercise such diligence and fortitude for sneakers and concerts...both from people who dont give one fukk about the black community and actively work against us. i said to them idk how ya'll financially support this clown kanye and my friend said u have to separate the art from the artist :snoop:

with that said it will take a strong but small group of forward thinking, non bending black folks who cant be bought out to change things...and it's going to happen. the earth will restore balance and their weapons or technology can't save them.
