I didn't say compare, people comparing their lives and pre-determining what it is that's going to make them happy and just how it has to happen is the at the root of suffering.

That's not to say people don't have a biological urge to see themselves move and shake in the world, but there have been eras where who's child it was didn't really matter, the village came together and supported the children...not out of ego or selfishness, but survival. If people, black people specifically keep trying to follow this distorted, selfish blueprint for life where does that leave all the babies who either don't have parents at all, or have parents that still need raising themselves...

Don't let not having them yet, or being unable to keep you from doing good work is all I'm saying. Plenty of people with kids of their own outchea miserable, on the brink of suicide and having to get someone else to do what they can't.

I be like this to. For some reason I enjoy be alone to, but I was like that as a child. I had many friends but would go into solitude. Balance is key, but yea, I am bored, even at bars and clubs.

We relate breh. I had so many friends, but still felt super lonely. I guess that was just my comfort zone since I’m an only child. And now that I had to become lonely to get to where I am and where I want to be i find myself at a crossroad. I figure most of these nikkas is between 30-40.

40 is still young enough to trick yourself into thinking your career and trinkets will always fulfill you, as long as you can still go out and play when you feel like it.

When you 60, looking at retirement, living in a big, empty, quiet house, surrounded by all the shyt you’ve collected over the years that no longer brings you any joy, you’re too old to move around and dating life is non existent, that’s when reality gone set in for some of these nikkas and I feel sorry for them.
