I still don't see the problem with him attending his graduation.

I remember watching a Fox Sports Beyond The Glory episode with VC.

When he went to UNC, even though he was a big time prospect and was definitely going to make it to the pros, he made a promise to his mother that he would graduate college cuz she stressed how important it was to get an education. Then after he balled out in his Junior year, he saw how high his stock was and thought there's a chance that was gonna be as high it would get and wanted to strike while the iron is hot. So he went back and asked his mother for her blessing to enter the draft, and promised he would still get his degree even while in the NBA. And she said ok.

So he got his degree and wanted to celebrate. Even his mother said after all that work he did, it would only be right for him to attend.

:aicmon: So we're gonna criticize a man for valuing his education? :aicmon: What kinda bullshyt is that :why:

And he still made it to the game, so there should be any problem. And there's no correlation between him attending his graduation and him having an "off game" It happens.

People are just looking for a reason to blame VC for his Game 7 performance, and him attending his graduation made for the perfect excuse. Even if it is irrational.
