As far as Social Sciences, Politics, Law, etc. The Ivy Leagues are A+
But if you're into studying Science, Engineering, Medicine, Computer Science... Ivy Leagues are a WASTE

I went to UPenn undergrad.
what makes Penn great is that the campus itself is nice and vibrant but it's still in a city location. a lot of schools are either beautiful campuses in the middle of nowhere, or no campus at all but in a city.
party scene is cool for an Ivy League(Spring Fling is dope), if you're into hip hop, Spectrum brings in some good names(J Cole, Miguel, Snoop, etc), it has a pretty strong black community(for an IVY) and a lot of good classes in Africana Studies(if you're interested in that.)
as far as people being stuck up/pretentious, yes there are a lot of rich kids that go there, but for the most part, undergrad students are very down to earth and chill. It's Wharton where you'll start seeing the snobs and elitists, though to this day I have some good friends who went to the business school

Enjoying hip hop and sports discussions doesn't preclude you from obtaining higher education.
I'm also pretty sure there's a millionaire or two on here. I don't know what that guy's talking about.

It's like hanging out with folks on skid row and revisiting them just for the experience and to accessorize with commoners on some Radical Chic shyt... Just can't see it.
It doesn't make socio-economic sense at all. It doesn't make societal sense.
bruh, not every IvyLeaguer is some super genius destined to change the world lol. a lot of them are average students but have family members with strong connections or are very book smart but have little common sense.
Myself, I just had some strict-ass parents who made sure I hit the books and they also happened to be extremely smart and stingy with their money so they were able to help pay for tuition.
the loans aint no joke though, still struggling with it right now
