It’s so easy to manupulate numbers these days because of streaming.. You kinda gotta look at the shyt for what it is..


Artists are being urged to drop longer projects for that very reason. Trust me, I’m around enough people to know..


And I mean, it’s simple math... If I stream a 12 song album 5 times, that’s 60 plays in a day.. if I spin a 24 song album 5 times, that’s 120 plays..


Now imagine that same process, but with millions of people...

There’s a lot of ESPN stats that’s out here fooling y’all.. there’s a reason nikkas like Rae Sremmurd out here dropping “triple albums” that randomly aren’t packaged separately..

Yes and no. You're not going to listen to an album that's twice as long the same number of times. Artists are finding ways around that though Xxx dropped a 18 track album that was only 37 minutes long. That's the new wave if these record labels are going to really try to juice their streams to the max.

In the 'streaming era' people continue to stream for long periods of time and the rappers continue to get paid.

So maybe he has a sharp drop off but if people stream the album steady for a year, unlike other albums people forget in 3 months, he will end up 'selling' more.

If people streamed the album steady he wouldn’t be dropping off the charts so fast.

The last two albums have just been snoozefests and the legs are representative of the quality of the projects.

On top,neither project have big singles so help the streams.

People like lil uzi,post Malone,Kendrick,drakeetc all their projectshave long legs and stay on the charts because people are still listening to the albums

Post did 475K.

His first album stoney dropped in December 2016 and it’s still in the top 10.

This new album is full of hits as well I’m betting it will have huge legs just like stoney

he's been rich for like a decade now and barely does any album promo. i don't think he cares.

He has to too care that for the second album in row people stop listening to his album after the 1st week. Especially when his peers don’t have drops like this
