way too early for a final input on this jawn, but from first skim through it really just reaffirms what I've felt about this new dreadlock era Cole; be it his growth as a person or a gimmick, he's speaking from a much more mature point of view in his tracks that's so polarizing in comparison to the 808 driven music of today that you need a moment to really digest it.
at the same time, that's not an excuse for subpar music and unnecessary filler, which Cole has a proclivity to produce at times: he's not as lyrically potent as some of the great storytellers in the genre but he's still nice with the pen and his beat selection isn't horrid so while you can vibe with his joints, that "something missing" in a lot of his tracks is a product of the fact that although he's a very introspective artist, he's not the greatest mc and it shows in his bars. the trap flow sounds weird coming from him but he doesn't do it terribly.
same for lupe. once the dreads came his music went

At first I thought it was a Lil Pump diss but he's referring to a black dude, and if that's the case then I don't think it's anybody. I think it's supposed to be symbolic more than anything

Didn’t lil pump diss him
Yeah I thought about Pump but he ain't black tho so it probably is just symbolic

Yes, I actually form my own opinions on content on my own. Vic Mensa actually has a few records on his debut album that are better than anything I just listened to from this KOD project

I'm sorry but if you really enjoyed that album I don't trust your opinion on modern hip-hop releases

What was your opinion on DAMN?

Do you know what’s concept album is? I mean the title of his album is the theme.

What did you think it was going to be about?

Y’all same nikkas that got mad at the Black panther SOUNDTRACK for having multiple artist
Wrong, I love the Black Panther soundtrack. Also why waste a whole album dissing mumble rappers why not let the youngins B? If a old head did this you would call him Flabby And Sick.

Its fine
I think his rapping, flow and content is more interesting on this than his last 2 albums and he was aware that people wanted the songs he left off the last album.
If you dont like his less uptempo approach than the second half wont convince you. And his first half records might not be too much of a parody to genuinely enjoy but I guess it showed diversity

3.5/5 (Which I still think means good not wack like people are trained to think less than 4 mics is)
