I get it. J Cole isn't for everyone. He makes music for the refined spirit who isn't afraid to acknowledge their flaws and the complexities of human behavior. His words paint vivid stories of life, love and the unbounded possibility of thought. There is no mumble in his message.

J Cole’s album is not for everyone, this shyt is real! It’s for down to earth grounded people. Not for the artificial materialistic mindset. This album is awesome and you can only see it if you actually listen to it. I don’t know about y’all but I like it a lot. Not disappointed

I think it's because I'm a huge Mos Def fan so I like the smooth singing. It's like Lupe Fiasco's singing as well, it's just chill and fits the vibe of the song.
