Not final thoughts but man this is...missing. Feels very condescending. He doesn't like drug abuse, his mom was a junkie, I get it. But the majority of his comments feel more angry and disappointed than anything else. There's not much empathy, and certainly no introspection since he apparently hasn't done drugs outside of weed.

Hooks are bad. Beats sound like bland Cole beats that don't bang like you'd expect.
Gonna be listening more this weekend but on first listen I'm not impressed.

Bruh stop .... it ain’t about “tempo” listen to TI “undertaker” and tell me if that’s “uptempo” anyways those double time hi-hats, stripped down leads and the way he’s using the 808 on a lot of these tracks over the first half are certainly influenced by the stylistic cues that modern trap producers have popularized over the past few years .... same can be said for a lot of the direction Kendrick took sonically ...I think you’re missing my point tho anyways
No wander the past 3 tracks are the best on the album. just read he went back and reworked them.

PLEASE I hope none of you nikkas really believe that Cole purposely made the hooks and verses trash to prove a point or fulfill the concept, or whatever juelz'ing y'all doing.
Cole always been bad at singing and hooks. His label even knows this. He was supposed to sing the hook for, "Power Trip" (one of his biggest hits to date), but the label was like, "
we got enough in the budget for Miguel fam, you good..."
Cole isn't bad at all, but he isn't the GOAT like others say he is, and that's totally ok.
He's a B+ player with an A+ core fan base.
His real problem is that he doesn't even live up to the B+ standards, which leads to caping from his A+ core fan base

This doesn't apply to you, I'm talking about outright haters who have never liked him or anything he's done. You're giving criticism of what you believe will make his music better which is different.
