Exactly the point i been making for the past couple years.
I just don't understand why Kendrick and Cole refuse to just get a dope beat and rap over that shyt.:mindblown:
Rap ain't gotta be this gotdamn complicated :aicmon:

I believe this Kanye's impact. Rappers used to rap first and be artists second.

When Kanye dropped he was an artist first - outlining and executing a sonic and conceptual creative vision, and his raps were largely second to that.

The new gen is obviously inspired by the way Kanye delivers his albums, as you alluded to you just get less rapping on a beat good songs like you did with Jay. Everyone wants to be an artist, not everyone has it in them. I do disagree, I think Kendrick is a really strong artist and with DAMN he mixed it up way more than TPAB, but GKMD was better balanced agreed.

Why nikkas calling others haters for not liking this trash. Im a big J Cole fan and I get the premise of the album, but it is still garbo. It really sounds like a 2 week mixtape tbh.

shyt is not that deep at all too, so stop it with the fake bullshyt to make it appear better than what it is.

Keep 1985, and the Outro, throw the rest in the trash bin.
