And this is his last tour? Im most certainly going to Philly and Houston.
If you've seen the video of him as a teenager barely riding the Victory beat, he used to be so much worse lol, so I get it.Album made me step my pen game up. Maybe that’s why yall don’t understand why I said it damn near makes me cry lol. Getting inspired to do what I do to a higher level for myself will bring tears of joy to my eyes. This dude literally showed how much better you can make your writing skills. I haven’t written this much in forever.

Hes defiantly a generational artistCan an artist have the longevity of Cole and not be a generational artist?
He has classic albums and songsYeah I get the intent but it falls flat. This dude has not been able to craft a single Hip Hop classic (song or album). Most greats have. So his wish that they drop better music after their prime is what many of us are still wishing J Cole would do... just once... while he's actually still in his prime.
Maybe it's asking too much of him. Idk.
Topics are whatever.
But people really have to stop comparing Cole to Kendrick.
That is seriously two very different levels of emceeing and craftsmanship. Cole ain't nowhere near the level of artistry that Kendrick always had. Kendrick's been dropping timeless classic sh*t since his mixtape days. Cole throwing this "Big 3" bullsh*t out there was a joke. He's never had the impact or appeal that Kendrick has, or the reach that weak ass Drake has. So we have to stop acting like he's on that level. He's not. Never has been.
He has classics albums and he has way better albums then Drake drake has a bunch of weed platesalbum wise I agree with you he doesnt have the classics kendrick has or even the albums drake has tbh
but the MC part is where we split....truth be told cole has been a better mc than kendrick RAPPING wise pretty easily since id say 2018 on .....that alone and because he is still in the ballpark as the other 2 earned him that big 3 title (until he took it away from himself)
Smh hold it down literally my favorite song from him ever. Yes it does have that vibe to safetySafety giving me super “hold me down” off the warm up vibes and I’m here for it
that is not true there on the same level there the two best of there era one is not a vastly superior of the other thats cap your downplying cole too muchKendrick being a vastly superior rapper and artist has nothing to do with “concepts” or how he makes albums, it comes from his understanding of music at a level that’s almost unheard of in rap. He’s arguably the only rapper, alongside Kanye, who has consistently made flawless music.
The reason he’s stayed both relevant and critically untouchable for over 15 years is that he doesn’t have an album that isn't at the very least "great" in his discography. None of them are worse than the others, they’re just radically different, each made for a different audience. You could even argue GKMC is his weakest musically, and it’s still a classic.

Kendrick is definitely the superior talent to Cole. Its like saying Nas is superior to Ghostface. Both are excellent artists/MCs but one is a generational talent the likes of which borders on genius.
