Same, this has been in constant rotation for me since it dropped... I'm honestly quite baffled by the negative reception it has received on here
I think it shouldn’t have been a double album. There’s a lot of strength but also a few songs that should have been cut

I don't know, it flows pretty seamlessly for me... which songs would you cut?
hes somehow received more hate since the battle in ways than kendrick or drake.....which is just totally unfounded and stupid...Look i said when he backed out that ok fine we cant look at him as the best anymore maybe bars wise it is what it is, but that somehow hes weak and foolish and makes mid music now is insane
again i enjoy this album!
im not mad at that but it sorta works as a double diff themes and sounds
in a time in hip hop when literly no major artist dropping anything good usually we get a double from cole and people chit on him- not saying you- I just think its sad fans have just become stans and thats it....I can enjoy and like drake kendrick and coles music. I think thats a lot of it
I been listening to it a lot and the 1st disc and some of the 2nd are great. I'm at about an 8/10 for a rating. The high highs make up for the low lows.

tbf about the bolded, some people believed that way before the battle, Ppl have been saying Cole put them to sleep.
As far as the weak/foolish part, that's all on Cole. You acting like he didnt just go on a promo run where he basically said he dont believe none of the shyt he raps about. That's not even taking into account all the shyt he was talking about being the greatest MC and bowing out the battle like he did.
drake coulda said he didnt want to battle no one woulda cared. kendrick coulda said same
but cole rapped so much about being the nicest mc no one can touch me ect that.....yeah

He shouldve lead with The Let Out and the Tems song for the initial videos. And then spin back again in the summer with a video for the Burna Boy song.

If they put out a diss record then tucked tail and apologized everyone wouldve cared and clowned them just like they doing cole.
People were clowning Drake for his response to the Control verse and the subs Kendrick sent his way over the years.

Music does not work like this, fans pick singles and this song had nothing that hit with folks
