only listened to Ja's first two albums so no, but was I actively rooting against him or not listening to songs he put out or was featured on or getting gassed off 50 dissing him? no...i liked "clap back", and "caught up" "new york" and "wonderful" were all bangers that i have on my 00's playlist and play til this day :ld:
so in other words u bumped 50 more than ja in 03 thus contributing to his downfall :wow:

Nah bruh, not a single one. They all trash to me. His beats used to sound like a child with down syndrome saw frooty loops open one day and started fukking around.

BRUH...

I feel you and I totally get you and I agree...

but with that being said....

this was fire... :wow:

The ONLY Swiss Beatz production that I ever felt in my soul.

Now you can say that Kanye did most of the production and laid the groundwork and framework for it and I could agree with that :ld:

I preferred Ja over 50 tbh and I’m not that much of a Ja fan if that tells you anything.

50 had TWO solid albums before he fell off with that Curtis trash.

Ja had FOUR albums go at least platinum from ‘99 to ‘03.

Ja stands tall on 50 head to head if we’re being honest here.

Ja was really bubbling, as X was beginning to show some chinks in his armor (acting and commercialized music). Hov was still STRONG. Ja was dominating, wit that sing-songy, rap/R&B shyt. Initially, Ja was struggling, cuz he was immediately viewed as a "Lil X clone". :lolbron:

Early on, I had Bleek, Beans, and Ja, ALL neck, and neck, and ALL subordinates to the top dawgs (Jay - Rocafella, and X - RR). Ja Rule music, became undeniable at a certain point tho, and he had the hoes, wit those anthems. Murder Inc begins to pop (w/ him as their flagship artist). X begins to fall off, and something about Hov, began to fall off too. Moreso, the inconsistentency and wanting to play a boss role (pushing State Prop, and his ROC artists more).

50 begins to capture the streets wit those G-Unit mixtapes. His name begins to RING BELLS on the east coast. He can do no wrong, during this time. I remember nggas were gassin the release of Tony Yayo up, before I really knew who he was, as if Pac was coming home, and the unit would be solidified (50, Banks, Yayo). :lolbron:

Ja was also beginning to catch backlash for all that singin shyt, when nggas didn't want the megastar from NY, living off that sweet ass image. Once Fif had the streets, and kept comin wit that consistent ether, diss wise, Rules days were sealed. "I Smell p*ssy", mixtape disses (Stuart Little), and greazy sneak dissing shyt like "Window Shopper", was too much for that lil ngga to handle. Too much ether from Fif, Banks, etc. was coming out that camp. They had their foot on their NECKS, something serious. :lolbron:

GRDT drops and Ja was DOA. Everyone was on 50 top, back then. Then Banks album was fire. The G-Unit album was flames, The Game, Buck, etc.) It was too much, for 90% of artists to overcome. :hubie:

Jay had retired, X was a shell of himself, Rocafella was in-fighting, falling off, and Murder Inc, was taking loss after loss, musically, and wit that trial. Fif in concert, wit that FBI trial, brought Ja and Murder Inc to it's knees. Dip Set wasn't big enough commercially, to dethrone G-Unit. Fif eventually copies, Ja Rule's SAME EXACT formula, and has the game in a choke, til he falls off, and nggas turn on their oversaturated asses, also. The irony of it all. :wow:

That's how I remember everything unfolding. @ me if I'm wrong.

This probably subtle 50 cent shade. that beef made alot of fans side against him due to 50 cents popularity. not deserved 50 obviously just a petty individual.

but lets be honest alot of his fall off was his own fault, going to jail at the height of your career for what taxes or something?

Ghosting on what later became a billion dollar franchise in the fast and furious movies? acting career would've been set off them movies alone.

Fyre Festival shyt didn't help either, although he wasn't entirely at fault for that.

dude just made some bad decisions. 50 cent was a minor bump in the road compared to all that

plus that Milwaukee half time performance

Got tired of 50 when he did that...nikka was talking about songs like amusement park was this highly creative masterpiece and shyt and talking about intentionally dumbing down himself lyrically..he was wildin during that period
