I thought he was gonna win for a couple of reasons. 1) He has a deeper catalogue to pull from 2) Ja Rule's singles were bullshyt THEN, they sound even worse now.

I underestimated how much Ja Rule's run meant to people of a certain age bracket, and I think Joe tried to play music for the demo he thought would be there, but they weren't there.

Ja Rule had an actual fan base.

With Joe, it’s more like people are fans of songs he’s been apart of. Now, that may extreme. I personally don’t know a fat joe fans in real life, but I’m sure he has a fan base, specifically on the east coast.

I was never a Ja Rule fan, but I think a lot of you underestimated the nostalgia factor. More importantly, this was an uneven match up from the jump. People on here were talking about a Busta vs Joe Verzuz, but Busta would've beat him worse than Rule.

No disrespect to Fat Joe, but he should've gone up against someone who made a similar type of music. To me, Fat Joe vs N.O.R.E makes more sense. Would've been far more entertaining too.

That’s a big thing here and something I underestimated and forgot about until he said it. I wasn’t really a Ja Rule fan like that when he was hot, but when I look back on it and watch those Verzuz, all of his hits were major anthems during my formative years (middle school through high school). So even if you weren’t a direct fan you still relate your youth to him, especially when you take into account every girl my age used to be in love with this dude lol.

Ja Rule's hits are structurally better songs and overall more memorable.

And while i'm at it, in retrospect, Clap Back was heat.

Nothing on Massacre is anything i'd play in my whip today. Or anything G Unit did past 2005.

I did enjoy Ayo Tech and Infant By Me (Be A Millionaire).

.
:dead: @ infant by me

I think Fat Joe is a better rapper than Ja Rule BUT Ja is a singles rapper on top that he has a sizable female fanbase, like women between 28-35 ride for him heavy. The other thing is too Ja's music has aged well.

But let's not go overboard. I hear talks of people saying he would beat 50 in a vs battle.:comeon: Ja took us back last night but let's not go crazy he would lose to 50 on a live stage battle.
Lol you talking like 50 got some amazing catalogue I actually think ja would win and I'm not really a fan of either guy
