my thing is, if they were making skits about this shyt, then how are they hypocrites/contradictory?

That's why I think hiphop would be better off with little to no reviews or media. Cause media will fabricate a perception of an artist/band, that sticks with them the rest of their lives.

Even mos def said "stop with the nonsense, like, 'he conscious'/ I'm just awake dog/ I'm doin great dog"

but time and time again people won't let them outta that box.

Then when info gets revealed that doesn't match/fit inside the box, instead of erasing the box that THEY put the artist in, they keep the box, and call the info a contradiction :pachaha:

As an older cat that grew up on 90's gangster rap i can see the other side of the argument now especially with all violence involving chi rappers. At least these guys were promoting positivity instead of gang culture :yeshrug:.

I'm still gonna be the :flabbynsick: listening to gangster rap tho :lolbron:

But even with all of that, Thought was catching gun charges & assault charges. Hell, he caught one in 96/97.

Actually Dice's post from last week said that "dudes from his era don't believe in ghost writing.....never have and never will"....which was immediately refuted by the 2010 I interview of his that I pulled up with him basically admitting to ghostwriting , unless "I wrote for big projects that people didn't know I was involved in" means something else.

He contradicted himself.

Everyone knows what he meant. He meant lyricists writing for other lyricists. I wrote this rhyme for you "fukk no...I got my own shyt" vs I'm writing this R&B for some signer, or writing for a non-rapper. Back then if you were a top lyricist, gettin on the song meant having your own ish up to par. If not, no one was saying well I wrote this for you to use. Let's say someone asked LOX about writing for each other, they'd say "Nah...we don't believe in that ish. It don't happen over here" However, Kiss has penned for others. Juice Crew - ask G Rap, Kane, Craig G about writing for each other, then ask them about writing for Biz, G Rap about writing for Salt N Pepa etc.

As for Jag, none of her stories were outlandish. They're standard industry stories. The only one that anyone would care about is Com Sense, because those are strong accusations, life altering accusations. They're still standard industry stories, however, the climate has changed. Of course Thought having a ghostwriter would be scoffed at, because at this point, 30 years later, it's laughable.

she still bitter. most people don’t know who she is.

Teadra Moses never compromised and never blew up to the majors but she still doing her thing and living her life.

this woman sold her integrity off by sleeping with dudes she worked with and couldn’t even parlay it into a meaningful career.

Im talking about talent though, to she say she doesn't have the talent is a different story. Of course she is bitter, she lowkey has been admitting that all throughout.

They're arguing against a point that majority of the people in this thread aren't even making :russ:.
- Most people are saying she could be telling the truth but stretching some points and probably didn't understand what a ghostwriter is.

- posters are saying they were most likely working on songs together and shared a bar or line here or there and bounced ideas of each other and helped with the hooks. Other posters are coming in here yelling that no they are writing partners and thought didn't have ghostwriters when no one in this thread is even arguing that :russ:.

They're hung up on that 1 point to try discredit her as a bitter ex artist making up lies. No one here is trying to discredit Thought cause there is nothing wrong with them sharing ideas/lines and is completely different from having a ghostwriter.

I never said she wasn't talented. Just not as talented as those artists I mentioned. And not as talented as all of the artists she's slandering. If she was she would have a catalog to prove it. She obviously had the connections and resources to make something happen. She wasn't a "cat in the hood", She was an artist who had direct access to top of the line music studios. She had every chance to make something happen for herself. You telling me she couldn't even muster up one legendary song?....not ONE?.....The simple truth is that she just wasn't good enough :yeshrug:

:gucci:She is just as talented as Erykah and Jill, talent doesn't always equal success breh.

Adriana Evans >>>> Teedra, Jag, Erykah and Jill but again talent doesnt always equal success.

Plus that shouldn't automatically mean it was for the roots, what BIG projects did they really have like that? To me it seemed like Dice was putting that 'lowkey' work in the industry, whether r&b or rap.

Above the fray.

That 7up slogan he used in his recent post is what's tripping him up.

Some of y'all are the reason these crazy ass ho's have so much power. Y'all better understand that the same shyt can happen to you tomorrow. Build up an empire and have that shyt taken down cause some bitter ass woman has a grudge against you. It's pretty damn clear this bytch has a mental illness. When you lose all your friends and end up alone in your 40's it's for a reason. It's cause you prolly been a piece of shyt your whole life.

This bytch talking trash on all those rappers yet she admits she fukked like half of em. WHILE she was married at that:mjlol:.....she sounds more angry that none of these artists wifed her up. They just got some p*ssy from her and passed her off to the next man in line. And they all moved on and kept succeeding. Kept evolving. If she was really that talented she would have her own illadelph halflife. She would have her own ressurection. Her own words and sounds. But she don't. Cause she was never on that level.

Some of y'all really disappointed cause you found out your favorite conscious rappers like to fukk groupies :mjlol:......y'all never listened to old common sense?:what:.....dude rapped about fukking ho's damn near every song :pachaha:.....I could care less what any of these rappers do in their personal life. We all got our vices. They still made legendary music :yeshrug:

But it's good to see this story got ignored and swept away. That alone let's you know this bytches words hold no weight.

Like people are mentioning Thought might be addicted to weed and drink. 'Lazy Afternoon' on DYWM is a whole song about him getting smoked out and drinking beer in his room, instead of going out to meet the crew. This is not news :lolbron:
