He has a midrange and good footwork in the post, he's not the only center who can't play defense, he just needs to go to a team with a G-League roster who wants to lose as many games as possible so he can prove his worth, Philly was a bad fit for him from the get go, idk why they even picked him.

Dude wanted the Lakers to draft him and it all went down hill once Hinkie made that pick.

For all the geniuses who think tanking is such a great way to improve your team. This is what happens when you draft a player, surround him with bums and let him lose 60 games a year...his game doesn't develop and he eventually wants to leave

Treadmill teams >>> Philly
Wrong. Jah is not a byproduct of tanking. Jah is a byproduct of a team being indecisive about what they want. Philly’s biggest problem during this process is that they didn’t know what they wanted to. Embiid’s the only guy they picked with any sort of conviction. There’s a human element to asset collecting that Philly whiffed on. Does losing suck? Sure, but promising players wind up on losers all the time. He and Noel were disenchanted with Philly treating them like stopgaps. You want a team to believe in you and it seemed like nothing short of an Embiid leg amputation would convince them to bet the house on Okafor. Players wanna feel wanted and not like trade chips. Towns was drafted and he’s a cornerstone. Lakers drafted Russell and made him a cornerstone til shyt happened. Hell, Porzingis was in a situation where he had a weirdo for a GM/President and two years later, he’s the cornerstone.

Jah just hasn’t had the impact he should have just yet, definitely not enough to change their minds.

Wasn't Hinkies whole strategy built around drafting a bunch of talent regardless of fit so that they could literally just be trade chips? That's why the tanked for 3 years...to get "pieces" they could flip for draft picks and better players

Correct, that’s where the issue was. BPA to everything regardless of fit and once he finally got the cornerstones he wanted, flip the others for more assets, forgetting that they make good players every year in the draft. Team construction is key and between Hinkie and Colangelo, there were tough decisions they were too afraid to make that needed to be made.

It's not like he didnt get a chance to up his value enough to be traded. It's just that no one wanted him.

Hinkie wanted Porzingis though, ownership wanted one of the 3 college players and forced him to take Okafor.
