This is why I can't watch much of NBA product anymore. It sucks, most of them teams will have injuries heading into the playoffs.
And they were sitting him out, still got injured. They load manage to avoid injuries, but still injure.
All these unnecessary pre-NBA career mini tournaments that young players get involved in wear out their bodies.

I bet they didn't even know he missed the last couple of games so the schedule has nothing to do with this :mjlol: nikkaz get hurt every season b..
he hadnt played in over a week. you could do the blame game on the coach playing him too many minutes his first game back, but really he just took an awkward step that can happen at any point in a game.
sorta lost control of the ball going through traffic at 100mph then has to regain the ball with both hands and come to a stop on one leg so can try and finish at the rim. it was too much force on his ankle and knee.

Facts. All of the AAU and training these kids do now is much more of an issue than this schedule

I know that silver had people to please, contracts to uphold. But damn season should only have been until April. 60 games or whatever, limited b2b and shyt. A lot of teams gonna be resting players because of these 6 games in 9 nights and only 1 day off in between, no practices etc...

fukk these injuries this season

Silver needs to address these back to backs. We're losing too many talented players to injuries.

ACL ain't a death sentence like it was 10 years ago. Look at Lavine. He can come back and make a full recovery.

If he's ready in nine months then he can return around All Star break next year.

Is there any actual statistical proof that players are getting injured at higher rates this season or are we just going off confirmation bias?

3 players have torn ACLs their season: Murray, Fultz & Dinwiddie (who was only partial), which is right on par with most other seasons in recent history
