Stanford did not run a pro style O. They run a read option with spread concepts. Very run heavy.

lol at Stanford running a spread option with Toby fukking Gerhardt...Stanfords offense was pro style which is one of the reason why Luck was so coveted..yea they had a little spread sprinkled in here and there but there base set was single back with luck lined up under center

You're failing at telling me the reason why they're not the best situation. He has two guys in Tampa ready to mentor him in Lovie Smith and Josh McCown. I wouldn't be surprised if Tony Dungy came in and volunteered to work with him too. So again, what reasoning do you have that Tampa isn't a good situation for him other than he might see his accuser at the Chick-Fil-A at the mall :beli:

From what I'm seeing, Pewter Report has thrown Mariota to the bushes and has hopped on the Jameis bandwagon. The dumbfukks on Reddit want to overdraft an offensive lineman and give Glennon another shot :snoop:
Glennon???? The fukk :dahell:

And they can both be coached up, Jameis fits what Lovie wants to do. If Lovie got Mariota, Lovie wouldn't know what to to do with him and that ain't a good look for neither of them. But that Dirk Koetter signin' got me like :patrice:

Listen, I have a huge bias toward Marcus. I have watched every snap from the kid, I am a Ducks fan. I fukking love the kid, been to Eugene and watched him play live. Will he make it at the next level, I have no idea, the success rate for QB's is so fukking small man.

All I can say about Marcus is, that dude has the tools, and always gets better the next year. It is crazy to see how much better he has gotten since 12.

I like Jameis too. Think he is a great too.

But breh, either or is going to need good coaching. shyt man, The Lucks are so fukking rare. Coaching is so fukking key. If you looking for a QB to save your team coming out the draft, your coach is probably not going to last long.

Ugh, Stanford did not run a fukking pro O. Actually I guess you could say Luck did run a Pro style O since Pep, went to the Colts, and ran Read option with spread concepts in the NFL.

Bra, did you watch any stanford games?

The fukk..

Listen you weirdo Jameis stan. I like Jameis, I don't need to tear him down to big up Marcus, b/c I am not crazy.

If either one can win more than 6 games in 2 seasons with the team, then they can make a believer outta me. I don't need 'em to get me to the SB in they 1st year, I just need 'em to show me that the QB spot is in good hands for years to come and that they can keep on improvin', both of them are coach-able, it all comes down to the staff the Lovie or whoever gives 'em.

I like Jameis cause I feel you can sit him for half a season to learn the scheme and then roll 'em out. Mariota you're gonna have to be more patient with and give him a year or 2 to coach 'em up and with how my team is, he ain't gonna get that patience from the Owners and GM down.

I just hope people are patient with Mariotta. It's hard to come from that type of offense and immediately play well in the NFL. I think you need 2-3 years. Kap and RGIII had immediate success, but now they're struggling.

Breh, Marcus and Jameis are not winning you guys many games next year. Unless you build O's around them. But hey, look at the QB/s in the Conference champ games this weekend, all teams who built their O around their QB.

Luck brining in his College OC
Rogers - 2 years on the bench
Brady - We all know the gawds story
Russ - Option and spread concepts.

All are fukking different. But hey, their is a one size fit all for QB's to be great.

Neither are #1 pick status imo. But who out of the two can handle the pressures of being the top pick? I'd give the edge to Mariota even tho Winston is more NFL ready skill wise.

I disagree with this post. If anyone can deal with this type of pressure it's Jameis Winston. He would embrace that type of pressure. I like Marcus but how do we know he can deal with that pressure? He's under .500 in games decided by 7 points or less

Jameis has faced a rape allegation, a bs point shaving allegation and a media created signing autographs for pay allegation. Also had a whole group of people going against him. If that's not pressure then I don't know what is.

He only started to finally crack the week before his code of conduct hearing. Then balled his final two games.

Matt Ryan threw 19:mjpls:

Drew Brees threw 20 picks in college. :sas1:
