i just used an example, Marley's Zimbabwe song was influential in their independence so much so that he performed their for free

weed music? highly disrespectful but im not really surprised

put his life on the line for Jamaica to bring calmness

and if you know about Jamaican politics you would know how dangerous that is , endorsements lead to death

again his music was more powerful, pure as can be

anyway we can go on and on so lets leave it here

Apologies for the disrespect. Didn't know my opinion would offend that way.

I know nothing about Jamaican politics, past or present. I can only speak from the world view that the question was posed.

We can agree to disagree. Respect. Just having a lively conversation. Peace.

Bunch of Yardies and cacs coming out with pitchforks.

:mjlol:

I get it though. Marley was a tough cat. Guess I'm biased to JB because he is a way better live entertainer and advocate for unapologetic Black pride.

James didn't give a fukk. His energy was atomic.

Marley makes me want to smoke weed and chill. That shyt is boring and complacent after a while. I can't speak for everyone.

You obviously know nothing about Marley. He was against Apartheid in Africa and he called out racism against Africans and Jamaicans plenty of times to the point where he had a assassination attempt on him and had to lay low in England. He also made various songs celebrating African culture and liberation such as Buffalo Soldier, Zimbabwe and Get Up Stand Up. Cac’s were the ones who soften his image after his death and he would of been hated by most of them if he were alive today. :yeshrug:
