50 on only 3 fta(which is abnormal for Harden) against a team with only 5 wins and who's ranked 28th in defense?
I'd imagine it's because his other teammates were not Doing so well.
Especially with the 3 ball.

James Harden is still the most Free throw reliant high scoring player in NBA history and I can prove it . (Not hating)

KD actually did use to spam free throws and get a lot of calls his first few seasons, though that changed once they stopped calling the rip-through

This is certainly an anomoly for him. His scoring is heavily dependent on FTA, probably more so than any other high scoring player in NBA history.

Of course you have sharpshooters like Curry and Bird at the top now because they didn't rely on free throws for big numbers. MJ is still there. There is still a correlation between the top scorers regardless of less free throws awarded. But look at James Harden now at number 99 from number 10. Harden only has 4 such games. FOUR!!
This guy is a myth.
(Though I do give him credit for this particular game which seems like the best one he's played this season. He was sensational. But let's not pretend this is the norm for him.)

Unless they stop counting free throws as points then it doesn’t matter.

KD is a better scorer, he just sold his stats short by going to GS
Where's his blackout games doe? KD might be the most complete scorer ever but he gonna have to get penalized for his lack of "explosions"
The conensus GOAT scorers all have the 50-60 point games.....Wilt,MJ,Kobe,AI. KD got like 6 50 point games and zero 60 point games
Meanwhile Harden got almost as many 60 point games as KD has 50 point games and almost quadruples him with 22 of those 50 point thangs....
hell Lebron got twice as many 50 point games as KD, got way more 40 point games and has actually scored 60 plus in a game, yet KD is somehow recognized as his generations best scorer
