nights like last night are what I wanna see from Harden. That's a legit 55 right there. None of that 23-25 from the FT line shyt

Fam you one of my favorites but people shyt on guys like Karl Malone and Patrick Ewing for being chokers all the time
While there's some truth to that, they're held more in the regard of playing in the real man's era, that players of today wouldn't survive in. That's basically the image they have. And then they piggyback off that to state they'd run through today's league (particularly, Ewing). And it's not just Harden, it's all players who haven't won anything of note, and then they smooth over the rough edges of players of the past and speak about them as if they've somehow achieved more.

And I will say too, it's not just players who've lost either, it's players who've won and their achievements are marginalized.

It's a constant cycle of trying to find fault in players of today. Yet if you apply that same logic to players of the past, it's called disrespect.

All I'm pointing out is, players of today are measured and judged unfairly by the majority of this board; the same scale y'all don't use to judge players of the past. It's not about "discrediting" the past, it's about using some cotdamn sense and holding all players, from every era, to the same standards. Not picking and choosing based on your preference

Oh the irony
There's no irony in that.

My childhood heroes: MJ, Shaq, Kobe, Hakeem, Penny, Kidd etc and the era(s) they played in will never be superseded by this era (or going forward), in terms of what I hold close to my heart. But I don't let that get in the way of how I judge players and the game. Anything that happens on the floor I judge accordingly; I don't base it on what I like/dislike, or biased towards what I grew up watching.

He's this generations iverson. Career will likely end the same way.
Na

Folks loved Iverson. Wanted to play like him and wanted to watch him. Harden is the exact opposite. No one cares for his game. Barely started the all star game if it was up to the fans. Coaches saved him last year. That's the biggest indictment of his game. Plus AI wasn't mocking the game with gimmicks.

He also led his team to the finals with no offensive help. He showed up for the playoffs. Harden is an annual no show.

Iunno how u even justify KD being a better scorer at this point. This nikkas resume is overwhelming rii now. He's the greatest scorer of his generation and has all the numbers to back him up
:mjlol: This is dumb as fukk and the fact that people dapped you up is even dumber. If KD played in D’Antoni’s system and chucked as much as Harden he’d average 50. KD has a better career FG,3FG and FT% than Harden and has a more offensive package than Harden. Please stop with this Harden is a better scorer than KD because he’s not:russ:

He only had 5 FTA so this thread is kinda quiet. The nikkas that hate Harden can’t use that FT excuse this game so they skipping by this thread acting like they don’t see it
