Even if Harden has not leverage the Rockets should at least think about trading him while his value is still high and while he is still looked at as a top 10 player in the league. They can keep doing the same thing with the same results while letting more time slip away then all of a sudden he's now a declining 33/34 year old Harden that you are NOW trying to move.

No way Houston can bring him back now that he’s officially asked for a trade.

why not? You have to do what's in the best interest of the Houston Rockets, not James Harden. Even if you get 3 draft picks, none of them are probably gonna end up as good as Harden. I could care less if he leaves in free agency. But at least give Silas a chance to coach Harden. Franchise players like Harden don't come around often. It's not like the Rockets are some horrible team that isn't winning.
