Of course we know they talk but let’s be real Kyrie and Harden both have had problems with everyone they’ve played with. Those two nikkas will eventually but heads and then your be asking KD of all ppl to be the mediator lmao. I really don’t see why the Nets just don’t keep their squad as is for this season. You guys underrate how much you still need depth to compete. Especially with Kyrie injury issues and KD coming off an achilles. Both them dudes ain’t playing all 70 games or however many this season.

The Nets are wedded to the idea of bringing in a third star. They're getting that "depth" the fukk out of there regardless. Before Harden the rumour mill was saying it would be Beal. Where there's smoke there's fire and if you want a third star and Harden is on the market you go and get Harden. This shyt isn't complicated.

Harden, Kyrie and KD with D'Antoni as Nash's Tex Winter. Whichever way it goes that shyt is box office :manny:

Exactly. Silver might have a damn "basketball reasons" moment if Houston agreed to trade Harden there for anything less

:childplease:

There's no way he's getting in the way of a championship coming to New York (even if it's the Nets and not the Knicks) plus NBA media is 96% gossip now. There's money in fukkery and those 3 guys together are a drama waiting to happen. They'll be analysing everything for narratives. Silver is not giving all of that shyt up. Even if the Nets experiment fails the NBA will still win.

But this wouldnt make the Rockets a contender..

Unless its another so called superstar involved, you wont win the trade war. 3 possible low first rounders? Naw

Houston is pluffing and I don't think the nets have offered all of the young core. I think the deal will get done. If the Rockets can move Westbrook for something decent then they can have a quick rebuild.

People are assuming that KD is gonna be the 30ppg KD... honestly it’s over for that, at least on a consistent basis. He won’t be the player of old, and if Harden comes to Brooklyn KD would be the third option and would be 70% of the player he was before.

I don’t think knicks fans could recover from this ether. Nets forming a superteam in your city and you’re still stuck hoping RJ becomes a superstar

I don't think this is happening.

Woj keep saying that Houston and Brooklyn have been in contact, but haven't had any meaningful discussions. Sounds like this is definitely all coming from Harden and his camp.

I do think Brooklyn is interested in Harden, up to a certain point. Sean Marks isn't Billy King. He's going to draw the proverbial line in the sand in terms of how much he's willing to give up.

I'm sure Houston also saw how much NOLA got for Jrue Holiday, and they're going to want more than that.

Marks will look into it, but I think in the end nothing will come from this

Any of us could have said this, because it seems logical from the Rockets standpoint but I don't think this is necessarily true. There is no way the Rockets are going to get equal value for Harden, the time to get a good trade for him was to trade him before he requested to be traded.
