North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
They underestimated the intelligence of the players. They thought dudes would just be blinded by these huge sums of money. It's pretty simple...if I am guaranteed hundreds of millions of dollars either way, I might as well be where I want with the players, coaches etc. that I want. You don't wanna wait until the final year because you will have no leverage. No one is gonna trade the farm for half a season of Harden unless he is gonna stick around. Teams will roll the dice on a couple years/year and a half though. They hold the cards now and have no reason to rush but they can't wait too long though.

When you got players like Paul George demanding trades, you know the system is broke :mjlol:

I would trade Harden for Wiggins. Or Westbrook for Wiggins. Houston should look to at least try to get equal value. I'm not making a trade with Brooklyn, unless they are willing to give up Kyrie along with picks and players.

Westbrook for Wall, and sign Cousins to make the cypher complete :manny:

At the end of the day Harden never even took Houston to the finals. He shouldn't have a say in where he goes.

:what: weedplate....

Kyrie is poison to me I’m sorry :hubie:

His talent is on some alien shyt but I can’t fukk with that dude he’s a clown

He just can't be your lead dog. The situation in Cleveland was perfect for him. Bron was out in front taking all the slings and arrows and he was setting the table for everyone on the court, including Kyrie. If he can just put his head down and get buckets then he's good money. Yes I am aware that he doesn't seem to understand that.

The situation was perfect because LEBRON JAMES was there.

If Houston does this, they will regret it. Like the roster or not, this is still a 55-60 win team. Russ, Harden, Ariza, House, Tuck, Eg. Don't even take scraps for Westbrook. Give it 2 years to build a team around Harden. Worst case happens you gave it every chance to make it work. Now Harden is expiring, then you trade him. But you don't trade a franchise top 5 player with 3 years left on their deal.
No it isn't...

houston’s leverage is the 3 years harden has left on the contract
Actually, the 3rd year is a player option. So for all intents and purposes, they only have 2 years. 2 years isn't that long.

If they don't do it this year, they'll to revisit it next year. And they'll most likely get less as time goes by. Harden at this point should be looked at as a depreciating asset. And as a businessman, Fertitta should know that sitting on depreciating asset isn't exactly a business savy move.
