all he does is when he drives in he holds the ball away from his body, arms outstretched and holds the ball towards the defender, an undisciplined defender thinks they can get an easy steal and try to strip the ball and they end up smashing him on the arms. hes able to anticipate when he defenders arm is coming downwards and he brings his arms upward to draw the foul. Most players would just get the ball stolen which is why only Harden and WB are doing it
and his step back has defenders absolutely terrified so when he fakes the step back they dive into him
he doesnt flop, he just baits the defender
you might not like it, but he was able to get Curry to foul out which lead to the Rockets beating GSW in 2OT so its a great strategy
That's exactly what I'm saying, he has a little gimmick that he does. He runs into the post with his arms outstretched like a total a$$hole.
To be honest, I'm borrowing that terminology from video game player. In super smash bros. if you pick jiggly puff, dudes know you're just gonna float around near the edge and edge guard them until they fall off. It's a bullshyt gimmick tactic that's totally within the rules and incredibly effective, but if you play that way you
have to take the L in the real world because there's other characters that take more skill to play and you're coping out by avoiding those, like fox or falco who go super fast and do crazy shyt.
In this analogy (which won't make any sense) Harden is Jigglypuff, and Steph is Fox. Harden does someshyt that's borderline questionable, and it gets him wins. But don't try and tell me I have to respect that shyt when there's guys out here like Steph actually playing the game and not making me watch

for 90 minutes.
Like, one of the reasons I'm a fan of basketball is it's one of the sports where style points matter - not on the scoreboard but to the fans/players. That's why people don't like harden's bs on offense, and they don't like when the Spurs do Hack-a-Jordan for half the 4th qtr.
It's why Shaq chose to shoot 50% FTs without ever even considering taking a granny shot.
It's why 20 years after Kareem, nobody shoots a hook shot even though it's proven to be effective as fukk.
Harden's like "fukk all that, I'd rather score 33 than 22 and then bytch when I don't get the MVP"
