Janelle Monae Sucks

[SAJ!!]

Janelle Monae's album is one of the better R&B releases so far this year to me. Name 3 albums released this year better than it.

On the other hand Ciara is average at best; especially when you compare her to many of the other R&B artist's that came up around the same time as her such as Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Ashanti and even someone like Amerie who was less successful than Ciara.

Earth Wind and Fire's latest album says hello.

She's dope but I feel like people do overrated her. Great singer, good song writer but she clearly struggles to make songs that best market her (singles). Also if you ask what her musical style is...honestly does she have one? So much of her stuff is just mixing other eras, which goes along with the "android" persona; her music is like what you'd expect a robot to make, if it heard James Brown/Prince/Motown/etc. Not knocking her, I think her last two albums are damn good...but yea..

Also I wonder if her style is getting played out. She's been dressing the same for so long, I kinda feel like jeez if you gonna explore 30-40 years of black music why not explore 30-40 years of black fashion.

You still wrong on Janelle but I appreciate a person with a good ear. Maybe she's just not for you. I can't listen to Nikki Manaj or Kendrick but I respect their talent. At least you can do the same for the queen of electroR&Bfunk.

I'm sorry.....but like I said before, the bytch makes boring-ass music. Great singer, not criticizing her lyrics, but she can't hold anyone's attention for long. She was kinda gettin' there with that Q.U.E.E.N. track, but even that wasn't that great

I'm not saying she needs to put out a club banger or something that tops the charts, but she needs some more memorable-sounding shyt. Everything I've hear from her so far was boring, forgettable, or just weird
