Can you expound a bit more? From media it seems that Japan is on par with western countries with regards to women rights. Is it all just really a facade?
They not. Not even a little bit. Things have been changing for the better in the last few years but Japan is VERY backwards. #metoo is literally embedded in their professional workforce. Some type of sexual harassment is almost a given for Japanese women in the professional environment.
Women have very few options for professional upward mobility. It's automatically assumed that anything dealing with children, the home, or domestic is the sole responsibility of women.
Imagine, solely taking care of the house, cooking, cleaning, bills, taking care of the children and the husband...then imagine ALSO having to take care of HIS parents, neglecting your own AND having to take care of his needs and THEN having to work.

What baffles me is why some dudes get angry when I point out obvious shyt? Fukk feminism and any other oversimplistic petulant title you want to give me, I'm talking common fukking sense, mutual respect, reciprocity. Ya know reasonable shyt.
"FUKK U FEMINIST bytch!"

The world gon burn b/c nikkas can't use women as doormats anymore.
"Why WOULDNT these selfish hoes wanna cook, clean, wash the shyt out my drawers, take care of my parents, pack my lunch, bear the children, take care of em alone, give me sex, WORK, take care of my parents, let me cheat on em, and call em inferior!"

How can you not find this shyt hilarious?! Come on, you gotta chuckle just a lil bit at the irony...
